🌠 LOOK UP TONIGHT! — SEPTEMBER EPSILON PERSEIDS 2026 🌌

Tonight, September 9, 2026, skywatchers have a chance to observe the September Epsilon Perseids, a minor annual meteor shower reaching its expected maximum around September 9–10.

✨ What makes it special?
The meteors are known for their fast-moving streaks, entering Earth’s atmosphere at roughly 64–65 km/s. However, this is a minor shower, so don't expect the spectacular rates of the Perseids or Geminids. The International Meteor Organization lists typical activity as low, with rates around or below 1 meteor per hour under the listed conditions.

🔭 Best way to watch:
• Find a dark location away from city lights
• Give your eyes 20–30 minutes to adjust to the darkness
• Lie back and watch a wide area of the sky
• Look generally toward the northeastern sky
• The radiant in Perseus is best placed during the pre-dawn hours
• Avoid bright lights and phone screens while observing

🌌 Photography tip:
Use a tripod, wide-angle lens and long exposures. A dark-sky location will make faint meteors much easier to capture.
