Member of the Month: Wilson Baird
We are excited to celebrate our Member of the Month, Wilson Baird! If you love working out in the free weight area, you probably know Wilson and can attest to his dedication to living a healthy lifestyle.
Wilson never misses a day at the gym. After a long day of work, he knows that heading to the gym helps reduce stress and keeps him healthy and active. Even though his job keeps him moving—averaging over 12,000 steps a day—Wilson understands that strength training is key for reducing injury, improving metabolic health, and increasing bone density.
Why did you pick EMAC?
“I love the location. It’s convenient for me and my family. I also enjoy the supportive community. It’s never crowded, and everyone knows each other.”
What is your favorite workout?
“When I was in school, my coaches used the ‘Bigger, Faster, Stronger’ approach, and I still model my workouts after that. My favorite workout is back day—it makes me feel big and strong.”
Why is working out important to you?
“My wife was a Division I swimmer and is extremely athletic. Together, we’ve tried to instill the importance of staying active and fit in our two kids. Our daughter works out at EMAC, and we love seeing her push herself and have fun creating new workouts.”
