🎬 Netflix hasn’t come knocking for the official String N Swing story… yet. But Action News 5 did. ❤️🎾

Yesterday, Matt had the opportunity to share the story of his dad, Gary Grear—a man whose passion, vision, and dedication helped make the dream of Leftwich Tennis Center a reality and played a huge role in bringing professional tennis back to Memphis.

We also got to tell the story of String N Swing, a shop that’s been serving the Memphis tennis community for more than 50 years and proudly owned by the Grear family for the last 25.

Stories like these deserve to be told because they’re about more than tennis. They’re about legacy, community, and the people who quietly make a lasting impact.

Thank you, Mayor Strickland, for recognizing Gary in your interview with Mayor Young. The Memphis tennis community truly lost one of its greatest advocates last September, but his passion and vision continue to inspire all of us.

The String N Swing family, along with the Grear family, couldn’t be more excited to see that vision become a reality with the return of professional tennis to Memphis this summer.

As a small business, we are incredibly grateful to partner with Tennis Memphis and the Memphis Classic as the Official Tournament Retail Store.
