Dr. Ceonzo just finished 4 days of outstanding education at the College of Syntonic Optometry's Annual Meeting. There was so much phenomenal education compressed into 4 days. Now it's time to start integrating new procedures for my clinical care in concussion and visual development. It's such an exciting time to be able to provide such advanced phototherapeutic care to improve outcome for concussion recovery and visual development!

If your bright child still struggles in school, it's time to see a developmental optometrist. We look at the visual skills missed by vision screenings at the pediatrician's office and school.

In basketball, we need to master individual skills like dribbling, passing, and free throws before we can master the game.

In reading, the visual skills we need to master are accommodation (using muscles to keep things clear), fusion (using eye muscles to keep things single), and tracking (using eye muscles to aim the eyes accurately without skipping words or lines).

Developmental optometrists assess these skills and address the areas of weakness in ways that standard eye screenings and standard eye exams do not.
