Meeker Classic Sheepdog Championship Trials - September 9-13, 2026 Meeker Classic Sheepdog Trials are held the week after Labor Day (Wed - Sunday) each September in Meeker Colorado. Fun is guaranteed for the whole family.

5 Day Sheepdog Trial Competition featuring 135 Border Collies - 30 Advance to the Semi-Finals and 12 from there advance to the Double Life Finals - Sheep, Education, Vendors/Artisans, Community & Fun, Meeker, White River Valley, Western Colorado The community of Meeker opens it's doors to the world as it play host to one of the premier sheepdog trials in the country. 135 dogs compete against tough "Meeker" range sheep for the coveted title of "Meeker Classic Champion" and a purse of $25,000. A craft and food festival accompany the event as well as educational exhibits, demonstrations, lamb barbeques, a top notch art show and free outdoor concert.
