Let me introduce you to the cold iron. 🏋🏼♀️
If your entire goal with exercise is to chase calories, cardio can do that.
But if your goal is to build lean muscle, get stronger, and create a body that stays capable and resilient as you age?
You need to lift weights.
Cardio isn’t bad. I do cardio. I recommend cardio.
But cardio and strength training have different jobs.
🏃🏼♀️ Cardio builds your engine, improves cardiovascular fitness, and increases your ability to handle fatigue.
🏋🏼♀️ Strength training builds muscle, increases strength, and improves your ability to produce and tolerate force.
Your training modality should match your goal.
Want to lose fat AND stay strong?
Lift weights—and use nutrition to support the goal.
Want a bigger engine and better endurance?
Do cardio.
Want to be strong, capable, resilient AND well-conditioned?
Do both.
Stop treating exercise like a punishment for calories you ate.
Train for the body you want to live in for the next 40 years.
Follow Phoenix if you want to stay strong, stay capable, and rise above. 🔥
