A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and joined us for our Back to School Bash ATA Shoot this weekend! ☀️🔥

With temperatures reaching 100+ degrees, we couldn’t have asked for a tougher weekend to shoot — but that didn’t slow anyone down! We had 20+ shooters come out, and everyone kept pushing through the heat with great attitudes, great competition, and plenty of fun.

SAU is hosting another ATA 300 Shoot this month on September 12th!

The shoot will consist of:
• 100 Trap Singles
• 100 Trap Doubles
• 100 Handicap Targets

🏆 Trophies will be awarded to the Champion of each event, with shoot-offs held at the end of the day to settle any ties.

All shooters are encouraged to reserve a spot in advance by messaging 870-904-7025, if possible.

We’re looking forward to welcoming plenty of new and returning faces to our range! Come out, shoot with us, and enjoy a great day on the range.

The SAU Trap Shooting Team is gearing up for an exciting fall semester! 🎯

Here are the dates and locations where our team plans to travel and compete this fall. While this schedule is subject to change as the semester progresses, we’re excited to get out there, compete, and continue building toward our ultimate goal of ACUI Nationals in March 2027!

We would love to see our parents, families, friends, and SAU supporters come out and cheer on our shooters along the way.

* October 9–11: Central Midwest ACUI — Sparta, IL
* October 24–25: Magnolia Clay Classic — Lonoke, AR

This past weekend, members of the SAU Trap Shooting Team traveled to Fort Worth, Texas, to compete in the Bair Hatcher Memorial Shoot, hosted by Fort Worth Trap & S***t. This is always a fantastic event, and this year was especially memorable for our team!

The SAU Trap Shooting Team had an incredible weekend, bringing home 28 individual trophies and capturing the 20th Anniversary College Singles Team Championship! This also marks our back-to-back College Team Championship victories.

One of the highlights of the weekend was the opportunity to compete alongside and work with our fellow collegiate team, UofA Cossatot.

We are also incredibly proud of Dylan Kimbriel and Seth Smith, who each won championship events, earning the honor of having events named after them at the 2027 Bair Hatcher Memorial Shoot!

🏆 Dylan Kimbriel — Singles Champion with a 199/200, followed by a 25-straight shootoff.

🏆 Seth Smith — Doubles Champion with an outstanding 98/100, winning the championship outright.

Congratulations to the entire SAU Trap Shooting Team on an outstanding weekend and an incredible year! Your hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship continue to make us proud.

Here are the events that are being hosted at the SAU Trap Shooting Range, with more information coming out soon!

The first event will be a 300 Target ATA Back to School Bash! This event will be 100 Singles targets, 100 Handicap targets, and 100 Doubles targets. The profit from this event will be used to support the early stages of the team with finances such as team jerseys and equipment!

The second event will be a 50 Target Trap Singles event, in which will support breast cancer patients and direct caregivers. We will be donating 50% of all profits to a Breast Cancer Foundation in order to help fight Breast Cancer for patients in need.
*The trophies for this event will be given in name of a breast cancer patient, surviver, or caregiver. This means that their name will be written on each trophy*

The third shoot at the SAU Trap Shooting Facilities will be the 2nd Annual Nightmare on the Trap range which will be a 50 bird trap singles Blacklight shoot, that will support more team needs later within the semester such as Shells or more equipment. This will be just like the previous year in which there are prizes for the best costume award and top shots!

The last shoot will be the Freedom and Fire veterans day shoot, which will be another 50 birds of Trap Singles! This will be used to support kids or grandkids of veterans or retired veterans! 50% of the profits from this shoot will be donated to veterans day scholarship funds to help veterans or kids and grandkids to go to college!

We want to welcome in our 6 new signees for the 2026-2027 School year! These freshman showed outstanding talent and sportsmanship throughout their high school year. We are excited that these shooters are joining our team and can’t wait to see what they can accomplish! Help us welcome these shooters to the SAU Clay Target Team!

Don’t forget!

The SAU Clay Target team will be hosting a 300 Target ATA event this weekend, Saturday, July 18th! Make sure to tell everyone and lets make this shoot a good weekend for all! We will have drinks for purchase in the concession stand as well as light snacks such as chips or candy. If you are wanting to ensure a certain post or spot in the day, please contact Dalton Ray at 8709047025 in order to save a spot!
