✨ Meet Ms. Sam! ✨

We’re so excited to have Ms. Sam as part of the JDM Dance Family this season! 💜

💫 Her Story
Originally from San Diego, California, Ms. Sam made her way to Texas about five years ago. Her love for movement began at just 6 years old through cheer, dance, and gymnastics. She spent six years cheering competitively before continuing with high school cheer, where she discovered just how much she loved the teamwork, connection, and community that come from being part of something special.

🩰 Her Experience
Ms. Sam has a background in student leadership and mentorship and previously worked in early childhood education as a preschool teacher. She also earned her degree in Business Management, bringing together her love for working with children with the organization and leadership skills she now uses as JDM’s Director of First Impressions.

💜 Why She Loves JDM
Ms. Sam believes movement and belonging can have such a positive impact on a child’s confidence, growth, and happiness. At JDM, her goal is to help create a welcoming community where our dancers, parents, and staff feel supported and connected. Whether you have a question, need a helping hand, or just want to stop by and say hi, Ms. Sam is always happy to help!

👑 A Fun Fact
When she’s not at JDM, Ms. Sam loves being outdoors, hiking, traveling, exploring new places, and trying anything creative. She’s always ready for her next adventure!

✨ Meet Miss Alexee! ✨

We’re so excited to celebrate Miss Alexee as she begins her sixth season with the JDM Dance Family! 💜

💫 Her Story
Originally from Gonzales, Louisiana, Miss Alexee began dancing at just 2 years old. She trained extensively in tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, modern, ballet, and technique, competing across the country and at the UDA National Dance Team Championship at Walt Disney World Resort.

🩰 Her Experience
With over 20 years of dance training and more than a decade of teaching experience, Miss Alexee has taught dancers of all ages, choreographed, developed curriculum, and mentored young dancers. At JDM, she serves as an Instructor, Director of Operations & Studio Manager, and Assistant Director of the JDM Performance Company.

💜 Why She Loves Teaching
Miss Alexee believes dance is about so much more than steps. She strives to build confidence, discipline, kindness, resilience, and strong character while creating classes filled with fun, laughter, and a genuine love for dance.

👑 A Fun Fact
A proud Louisiana girl and huge New Orleans Saints fan, Miss Alexee also loves fashion, makeup, photography, and spending time with her family. You may have even seen some of her photography capturing special moments for our JDM dancers!

✨ Meet Mrs. Taylor! ✨

We’re so excited to have Mrs. Taylor back for another season with the JDM Dance Family! 💜

💫 Her Story
Born and raised in Southern California, Mrs. Taylor began dancing at just 5 years old. She trained in both recreational and competitive dance, studying ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, and lyrical. She continued her dance education at California State University, Fullerton, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Dance with extensive training in ballet, modern, and jazz.

🩰 Her Experience
Mrs. Taylor’s years of training and teaching have shaped her belief that dance is about so much more than technique. She is passionate about creating a positive and encouraging classroom while maintaining high expectations, celebrating effort, and building genuine relationships with her dancers. Her goal is to help each student grow not only as a dancer, but also as a person.

💜 Why She Loves Teaching
Mrs. Taylor believes dance is a powerful way to build confidence, resilience, responsibility, respect, and meaningful relationships. She considers it a privilege to share her lifelong love of dance with the next generation and loves watching her students discover what they’re capable of. To her, the greatest success isn’t measured by trophies or titles—it’s seeing a dancer leave class more confident, compassionate, resilient, and excited to keep learning.

👑 A Fun Fact
Outside of JDM, Mrs. Taylor is a Lifetime Girl Scout member! She loves photography, spending time outdoors, drawing and painting, is always up for an iced coffee, and is a devoted dog lover. ☕🐾
