Your Pilates instructors aren’t drill sergeants. They’re your hype crew. 🩶
The ones who say “let’s go, ladies” and mean it. Who cheer “you got it, go girl” when you didn’t think you had one more in you. Who love you AND your hamstrings.
This isn’t about the burn. It’s about finishing something you weren’t sure you could, with people in your corner the whole way.
That’s what intentional movement looks like at MMC. Come feel it for yourself. 👏😉

Move Smarter To Feel Better. Pilates, GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® Exerercise, Yoga and more!
Before you even step into the room, your coach already knows what you’re working toward, what to modify for you, and your name.
That’s what happens when a class stays at six reformers instead of eighteen. Nobody’s guessing. Nobody’s just another face in the room.
You get hands-on corrections in real time. Programming built around your actual goals. Progress that gets tracked, not forgotten between sessions.
Small by design — so you’re never training alone in a room full of people.
This is what radiant actually looks like. ✨
Not a filter. Not a “before and after.” Just four women who kept showing up — week after week, year after year — until their bodies started telling a different story.
In their own beautiful words:
🌸 “I feel more radiant in my confidence of myself and what I can do with my body… my posture, my stomach, my ab muscles — everything just makes me feel more confident in what I am doing on a day to day basis.”
🌸 “I feel like I’m standing up straighter, I have less aches and pains than what I’ve had previously… it’s just with me all the time.”
🌸 “My confidence as a person, my balance, and my strength.”
🌸 “I’ve been doing Pilates for over 10 years and it honestly has changed my flexibility as I age. I feel like I’m a better mom, a better wife, a better teacher, and just a better person.”
We could talk all day about “cores and posture”. But THIS is the real work — the kind that changes how you carry yourself in every room you walk into. ✨
Consistency isn’t a highlight reel. It’s just quietly, faithfully choosing YOURSELF, one session at a time. 🤍
That’s a wrap on the first Pilates Playground of the year. 🤍
We opened up the full studio — Arc Barrel, Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel, the Cadillac — and let our members just… play, expire, & try things they’ve never tried in a regular class!
Watching someone get on the Cadillac for the first time and feel what it actually does and see the advanced exercise possible as well as the functionality of the arc! That’s why we do this. 💪👏
This won’t be the last one. Stay tuned. 👀

Mizuho has officially joined our Pilates Instructor Team here at MMC and we couldn’t be more proud of her! She is officially a comprehensively trained Pilates Instructor and finishing her test prep for her NPCP Certification.
You can take class with her on Wednesdays at 10:30am and will see her Monday evenings in our Shadow Teacher Program!
More About Mizuho ⬇️
Originally from Japan, Mizuho relocated to Texas two years ago. Movement has always been a core part of her life, beginning with her training as a 2nd-degree black belt in Kendo, a traditional Japanese martial art, and continuing through the years with playing Tennis competitively at the University level.
Her Pilates journey began as a way to heal severe back and knee injuries that built up over time from sports, work, and the physical strain of childcare. Now an apprentice under Emily’s mentorship at MMC, where she is actively pursuing her NPCT credential. Mizuho is also dedicated to continuously improving her English to provide the most effective cues possible to her clients and truly help cleints overcome daily physical strain to build functional strength.
It’s about more than just the hour in the studio.
I’ve been working with a client with scoliosis, and our latest session was a perfect example of why body awareness is the ultimate staple for progression.
We spent our time on the Cadillac working through some technical (but vital) goals:
1. Opening the “locked” areas - Her thoracic spine was tight, so we focused on breathwork to expand the rib cage.
2. Finding length - Decompressing the lumbar spine, especially on the concave side where she felt most “crunched.”
3. Her “Aha!” moment - Taking those sensations, understanding her curves so she can sense and find de-rotation.
I love giving “homework” because the real progress happens when you’re not with me. By giving her small, applicable tools for her daily life, she’s learning to be her own best advocate for her spine.
That’s the power of transferable movement! 🧠✨
If you’re looking for some resources & application for scoliosis here are my favorites:
1) - I studied & completed Level 1 & 2 with Karena and she is amazing. Her work really taught me how to see Scoli in 3D and understand how to read x-rays and determine what’s happening so I can best help my amazing clients, as well as how to make this work approachable to a variety of clientele. I found her training is applicable to working with all of my clients not just those with Scoli. I love the extreme detail in her training and how my eyes were trained. 🥰
2) - I have been following Erin for years and I love her approach and the way she challenges the medical field. Scoli is so wildly misunderstood and not often handled in a way that supports people from day 1. I have several of her books and they have shaped the way I advocate for my clients, how I talk with them from mindset to movement. I absolutely love her approach as well and she has an incredible course in Nashville annually. 👏 (it’s on my list to attend. One of my instructors went back in 2024 and spoke highly of it)!
If you have Scoli, find a great trainer so you can stay strong, prevent pain, and THRIVE. Your curves are part of who you are, take care of them! 🙏

Let’s talk about the “Worthiness Gap” ⬇️
In the spirit of our theme of Alignment, I’ve been sitting with this quote: “When you believe you are worthy, you stop trying to prove yourself and start trying to share yourself.” (From Jamie Kern Lima’s book Worthy that we are reading in The Well Bookclub).
I realized that whenever I feel out of alignment, it’s usually because I’m trying to prove my value to someone else (or even to myself). But alignment is the path of least resistance. It’s what happens when your soul finally accepts that you are enough, exactly as you are.
Challenge for the week: Identify one area where you are “trying to prove yourself.” How can you shift that into simply “sharing” your gifts instead?
Let’s hold each other accountable in the comments! ✍️✨
She’s all that and then some. 🤌
Common misconception: Pilates = Only the Reformer.
The reality: MMC is a fully equipped studio because the magic happens when you use the whole system & more!
Beautiful to look at, but she’s “capable” of giving you a serious workout. Come explore the equipment & detail you didn’t know you needed.
