It is not wattage that matters, it’s the energy reaching the glue that matters. If I were to use a 1watt light at 8” it would not cure. It doesn’t have about energy reaching the adhesive to cure. But using it at ~1” it does have the energy to cure it.

I’m so honored to announce our newest UV educator partner. Kimberly Johnson has a background much like mine! She is started as an educator for Bella Lash and with her desire to expand has partnered with us! Knowing she was a Bella trainer I knew she had a great background in her lash education knowledge. If you ever wondered how we get the “you get more exposure than X time in the sun”, this is an actual equation that is from the IEC test that shows the irradiance of the light. Then there is the dose (amount of time the light source is on the tissue) called Radiant Exposure.

Radiant exposure (often called dose) is the total energy delivered by UVA light to a surface over a specific timeframe. You calculate it by multiplying the irradiance by the exposure time.
So yes it’s great for marketing and to understand the power and potential exposure but it’s actual science! How cool!
