The athletes who make the most consistent progress over time are the ones who figure out how to keep training when life makes it inconvenient.
That’s not a grind more thing, it’s usually a structure thing. The right program adjusts when your season shifts, when work gets heavy, and when recovery is incomplete. It doesn’t demand the version of you that only shows up every couple weeks.

Every failed program, failed attempt, injury, or stretch where life got in the way gave you information.
It’s information about what doesn’t work for you right now. That’s not failure, that’s a signal you need a different approach. Nothing more, nothing less.
Instead of ignoring the data points and trying to willpower through, program your training around what you’ve already learned. That’s going to look and feel completely different from training that ignores what’s not working.

Oh the push-up! If you haven’t been lifting loads anywhere close to 67% of your bodyweight, your body hasn’t built the strength the movement requires. That’s a programming gap.
Put on top of that: inconsistent exposure, the wrong regressions, fighting through poor form, and you’ve got a recipe for pain and no progress.
Build the capacity before you demand the output.

Feeling invisible in a group class isn’t a you problem. It’s a volume problem.
When a coach is managing 20 people, they’re usually not coaching you. They’re running a class so your limitations get missed and your history isn’t remembered. Then you keep showing up, wondering why you aren’t getting stronger or moving better.
Being coached feels different. Someone sees what’s happening in your body in real time and adjusts accordingly. Someone progresses you in a way that keeps you challenged and making gains without having the nagging pain. That’s what coaching is.
