We love Jessica’s (Jess 💙) transformation story. Sometimes the biggest transformation is in the mind! We are so proud of you!
I started Burn in March 2022, and honestly, I came mainly for the Childwatch! 😂 I had been really committed to doing home workouts, but with two littles running around, it was HARD.
At first, I just wanted to be “skinny,” but it didn’t take long for that mindset to change. I realized I didn’t want to just be skinny—I wanted to be strong, fit, and have MUSCLE! 💪
Now Burn is where I start my mornings—8:30! I’m so proud of how far I’ve come, not just physically, but mentally and with my stamina too. And one of the best parts has been the girl gang I’ve found along the way. I genuinely feel like this is the most real, supportive group of friends I’ve ever had. 🩵
I stay consistent because I know I need it, and in all these years, I have NEVER left Burn regretting that I showed up. The trainers never give up on you. Whether it’s helping with form, working around injuries, or giving you that extra push when you need it—they’re always there.
If I could tell someone thinking about starting Burn one thing, it would be: JUST DO IT!!! Show up, give it a chance, and I promise—you won’t regret it! 🩵🔥
Strong. Consistent. Community.

We get it. Mondays are hard. Every day is a choice- but seriously…what gets you through camp??
A. The playlist
B. My camp friends
C. Pure stubbornness
D. Knowing it’s only 45 minutes
E. All of the above
For us, it’s a little bit of everything.

Kinda chic to show up, lift heavier, complain about conditioning, and keep coming back anyway. 💅
But the chicest part? Doing it with a community that makes you want to be better. 🩵

Camp is done — now it’s time to refuel.
Josh put together some of his go-to post-camp protein suggestions to keep things simple, realistic, and easy to grab after camp.
Protein helps support muscle repair and recovery, while carbohydrates help replenish the energy you just used on the floating floor. Prioritize your protein, add a quality carb, and give your body what it needs to recover and come back ready for the next camp.
Save this one for the next time you’re wondering, “What should I eat after camp?”
Thanks for the tips, Josh!

When I started at Burn Boot Camp, I only understood progress to be what happened on the scale. I was wrong and often felt defeated. The real shift happened when I started embracing non-scale victories and realized body recomposition takes real time and patience.
Non scale victories include inches lost around the waist, body fat percentage decrease, dropping clothing sizes, analyzing lowering A1C levels, modifying up in a workout, traversing life with more energy, mindful decision making with food, and most of all loving yourself.
A few major takeaways that made everything click for me:
Fueling right: High protein and staying locked in on water intake are non-negotiable.
Consistency: Show up even on the days you don’t feel like it. On crazy busy days, have an on-the-go workout ready—something is always better than nothing!
Smart Recovery: You have to schedule in rest and recovery just like you schedule workouts.
Functional Movement: Never skip athletic or bodyweight conditioning. I learned those workouts aren’t just about cardio or muscle; they’re building elasticity, flexibility, lateral agility, and joint stability.
Understanding Zone Work: Once I actually understood zone training, I gained a whole new appreciation for how the trainers structure our workouts.
Grateful for the coaches and community at Burn Boot Camp for teaching me how to train for life, not just for a number! The high fives, “great jobs”, modifying up, stares of fatigue and agreement that the workout was tough are what makes this community great. 💪🏾 🔥
