It has taken me a little bit to reflect on the end of the season. We where so lucky to have a great group of athletes on our team this year. The highs and lows from yesterdays meet are a perfect example of life and the trials it presents. I know that the 4x1 relay did not end the way we expected it too. Training for so long for one race is so much more about the mental aspect than the physical one. These men were locked in and felt like we belonged among the fastest in the state. For a split second we were even ahead of some of those teams but like life so often does there comes a punch to the gut that challenges us. That reminds us that the process and the relationships built through that process are the things that are so important. Let’s use that dropped baton as a new beginning and a chance to learn, grow, and come back to the ultimate stage stronger, faster, and more prepared. I love this entire team and I am so grateful I got to spend this season with each and everyone of you. Thank you athletes and coaches for trusting in the process and achieving some amazing things this year.
