Finally a beautiful weekend!

What a weekend at the 13th annual Junior Dragster Bonanza! 🏁

Friday, Mia kicked things off by making it to the 3rd round in both the warm-up race and the index race. Saturday was a little tougher, but she still battled her way to the 2nd round.

Sunday was where her determination really showed. Even though we fought the car all day, Mia stayed focused and drove her way all the way to the Final Round, finishing the weekend as the Runner-Up! 🥈

We finally believe we've solved the clutch issues, but it looks like we've uncovered a bigger problem that we'll need to address. Racing has a way of keeping you humble, but that's all part of the journey.

We're incredibly proud of Mia for staying composed and fighting through every round. Rob did an awesome job coaching her before each pass, helping her know what to do in different finish-line scenarios, and she put that advice to work all weekend long.

Now we have a two-week break to go through the motor, make the necessary repairs, and come back stronger. We'll keep working, keep learning, and keep chasing that win.

This weekend tested us in more ways than one.
Friday started with what seemed to be the same clutch issues we've been chasing. Despite the setbacks, Mia fought hard and was able to make it through a round. Friday night was spent going through the car trying to find the problem.
Saturday brought more of the same frustrations. Sometimes racing isn't about going rounds—it's about refusing to give up when things just aren't going your way.
On Saturday night, our racing family showed up in a big way. With the help of some amazing friends, a lot of brainstorming, and plenty of determination, we rebuilt the clutch. Moments like these are a reminder that drag racing is more than a sport—it's a family, and we're incredibly thankful for everyone who took the time to help us.
Sunday started with Mia getting the first-round bye, but before we could really put the new setup to the test, the rain moved in and ended the race early.
We may not have gotten the results we were hoping for this weekend, but we're leaving with a little more knowledge, a rebuilt clutch, and a whole lot of gratitude. Thank you to everyone who helped, cheered us on, and continues to support RKM Racing. We'll be back in a few weeks, ready to keep chasing that win. 🏁💙

➡️ Weekend recap
Saturday we were fighting some clutch issues. Mia made it work for a first round win but couldn't make it happen 2nd round. Sunday was unfortunately a rain out. We had some great race family helping us out this weekend as Rob was headed out to Sick Summer. We cant thank them enough for their help and as always we thank our sponsors for their support and keeping us out doing what we love! Next up- fixing the clutch and we'll be back at it 4th of July weekend!

This weekend started off wet and rainy. Saturday was canceled and Sunday the rain came before our time run. We were finally able to make our time run at 8pm then they ended up calling the race due to fog and dew. It was just getting way to wet. Today we went right into first round and Mia took the win running 8.96 on 8.95! Second round Mia's car hickuped and lost numbers in the 60ft. She was just along for the ride at that point. It was great to be back at it and for Mia to take her first round win in 8.90! We'll be back at it in a few weeks.

Rained out today 😒 We'll try again tomorrow!

The Michigan mist has finally done us in for day number one of Memorial Day Racer Appreciation. Today’s payout will be split evenly and added to Sunday’s and Monday’s payout.

Sunday’s race for Super Pro, Pro, and Sportsman will now be for the 75th anniversary NHRA Wally along with the Doorcar vs Dragster shootout being set for Sunday.

Gates open at 8am, chapel in the pit side grandstands at 8:30am on track at 9:30am.

$15 to spectate per day | children 6-12 $5 per day

It's race day! Finally starting our 2026 season after the track made some amazing upgrades that held opening day back.
