Megan, Mark, and Regina are kicking off JAN27 Film Fest today! In a new MOVE30 journey, they take fundamentals to new heights and depths, with a focus on lunging and gait.

Lunges will go 3D, crossover-style for strong and mobile hips and glutes. And gait gets dialed up a notch, mimicking stair climbing and all the balance and stability that goes with conquering any uphill battle on the way to movement health.

What a whirlwind, and a huge thanks to the Crossroads YMCAs in Indiana! AJ J. and AJ H. were honored to RSVP an easy yes to the Group Fitness Instructor Retreat where the Y's team got an early look at the JAN27 Group Power workout and experienced Group Blast for the first time. From all of us at MOSSA, thanks for packing the rooms and for the warm…nah, hot and sweaty welcome!

With Group Active, we end this quarter’s field testing process on a serious high: The JAN27 release earned a perfect 10 for programming and a not-too-shabby 9.9 for music. We’ll let testers tell you more, and we can’t wait to welcome you to Active filming with Cathy, Laura, and new presenter Kelly!

“This has to be one of my favorite Active releases. I saw people trying new things and pushing themselves in ways I've never seen. Every single participant left the ground in a hop or jump at some point in the workout!” – Bethy at Everett Family YMCA in Everett, WA

“SUCH an important topic, bone density affects us all! For so many years we've been told to avoid impact, especially as we age. To not lift heavy for fear of getting bulky. This release debunks all of those myths. I asked them to trust me, and they did, and their bodies are thriving with this new knowledge.” – Katriona at Motion Fitness in Saskatoon, SK

“Be prepared for ANYTHING! This grab bag of fun release features moves you might not expect, in places you might be surprised by!” Charlene tests Blast at Franklin County’s YMCA in Greenfield, MA.

Blast’s JAN27 workout earned 9.8s for both programming and music, and here’s tester Brenda with deeper detail: “It was a high-energy, fun-to-deliver workout. The music felt like an emotional ride from start to finish. Participants loved how it layered and the build.” (Brenda tests at Stoney Creek YMCA in London, ON.)

Blast filming hits mid-week 2, with these three taking the stage: AJ J., new presenter Kraig, and Mike G.!

And Nicolette at Bloomington Normal YMCA said, “The whole release rocked! The speed surges snuck up on us at the end and brought the workout together.”

R30 scored 9.9 for programming and 9.6 for music. And Cathy and AJ H. will bring it to life, wrapping Film Fest week 1 with rehearsal and filming.

“HOLY CARDIO!” That’s Aubry with wise words from Wellstar Health Place in Marietta, GA. “Members loved everything from beginning to end. Seriously, SO FUN!”

Ditto from Dean, testing JAN27 Groove at CityFitness in Palmerston North, New Zealand. “There was more than the usual amount of cardio and also a feeling of great variety in music and the amount of variety in moves, as well as new moves.”

Up next for JAN27 Groove (which scored 9.8s for music and movements), we’ll hit the dance floor at Film Fest with Kelly, Aaron, and Colbi!

“Defense wins championships—and this release brought it all.” That’s tester Jamie at Healthtrax in Warwick, RI. “From weaving, blocking, checking kicks, and firing sharp knife strikes to unleashing explosive knees, elbows, punches, and shoves, every track emphasized the art of defense-to-offense.”

JAN27 Fight scored high in testing – 9.4 for music and 9.6 for programming. And here’s one more comment before the bell, from Melanie at Cascade Athletic Club in Vancouver, WA: “This was a super high-energy, fun, and challenging release. It felt athletic and cohesive, with a strong defensive theme throughout and a very clear front-kick thread running through the workout.”

Next up in the JAN27 Fight, the boys are back – Mike, Mike, and Tiago – for rehearsal and filming July 23/24.

And Maddie at Bayclub in Tigard, OR: “It was fun seeing moves like reverse triangle weave through multiple tracks... it made the whole thing feel connected. This release felt cohesive, well-paced, and left us feeling strong, stretched, and relaxed all at once.”

Words like challenging and favorite are on repeat during the Group Core tester call, along with GLUTES, GLUTES, GLUTES! Scores were all As (9.1 for moves and 9.7 for songs), and here are a few favorite comments – music to our ears. And glutes – did we mention glutes?

Testing at CityFitness in Moorhouse, New Zealand, Vanessa said, “The release was particularly challenging – especially the triple pulses in Stability – pushing everyone to their limits. It was a double thumbs up all round!”

And from Genesis Health Clubs in Evansville, IN, tester Sydney: “Music had lots of good beats to follow, some catchy/familiar songs to help through the tough sections, and great moves to really build a strong core!”

Next up for Core, AJ H. takes the stage during week 1 with Sydney, a new presenter!
