7th and 8th Grade Basketball will start preseason workouts on Tuesday, September 8th. The first day of tryouts will take place on Tuesday, September 29th. Remember, you must have all required information in Final Forms in order to be cleared and participate. *6th Grade information will be posted shortly*

Friday Lunch and break time were in full swing for our youngest ballers! They are taking a well-deserved breather, rehydrating, and getting some food in their systems before the big afternoon playoffs begin. 🏆🏀

What an unbelievable week at the Marietta Basketball Club FUNdamentals Camp! Our campers worked hard, competed fiercely, and had a blast.

..and finally, the most prestigious honor of the week: The Pound the Stone Award! 🪨💪

This special honor was given out daily to individual hoopers who stood out as incredibly supportive teammates, demonstrated strong leadership, and showed an undeniable love for the game.

Big News for our Pound the Stone recipients: Keep a close eye on your inbox! You will be receiving an email in the near future with an official invitation to serve as an honorary team captain for the Varsity Basketball team next season! 🎓🏀

Forget the NBA Draft—the real drama is happening every single morning right here at the Marietta FUNdamentals Camp! 🍿👀

Before the first whistle blows, the highly secretive "Marietta Fundamentals Competition Committee" (a.k.a. the coaches) meets to execute blockbuster trades to keep the day's games perfectly balanced.

The market value changes fast around here. Depending on how hungry the coaches are at 9:00 AM, your child could be traded for a package of players... or swapped straight-up for a bag of chips or a slice of pizza. 🍕🥔

The locker room tension is real! The kids wait in absolute anticipation, whispering about the latest trade rumors and reacting to the morning blockbusters. It brings an amazing, hilarious energy to camp every day and proves the ultimate rule: Anyone can compete on any given day!

As we wrap up another amazing day at Our Marietta FUNdamental Basketball Camp at Marietta High School, we want to take a moment to thank the incredible people who have helped make this week so special for our campers and families. 🏀💙💛

To our parent volunteers: thank you for your time, energy, flexibility, and support throughout the week. From check-ins to helping behind the scenes, your impact has been HUGE.

To our high school basketball players: thank you for showing leadership, encouraging the younger campers, and setting such a positive example on and off the court. The kids have loved learning from you and looking up to you all week long.

And to all of our coaches and trainers: thank you for pouring into these athletes with passion, patience, teaching, and enthusiasm every single day. You’ve helped create an environment full of growth, confidence, teamwork, and FUN.

The gym has been filled with energy, laughter, hard work, and a whole lot of basketball this week… but we’re not done yet! 👀🔥

We still have ONE MORE DAY of camp tomorrow, Friday, and we can’t wait to finish the week strong together!

What we didn’t expect?
An all-out sock showdown. 🧦🔥

From neon tacos to mismatched masterpieces, our campers brought elite energy from the ankles down. Some kids crossed defenders over. Others crossed fashion boundaries that may never recover. 😂

Between the drills, laughs, teamwork, and “Coach Hood, look at my socks!” moments, this week reminded us basketball is about more than buckets. It’s about confidence, friendships, and creating memories kids will talk about all summer long.

Parents, thank you for sharing your awesome athletes with us. And to the campers: keep working hard, keep having fun… and keep those wild socks in rotation. 🏀🧦💥
