In Loving Memory of Craig Anderson Jacobi
Craig Anderson Jacobi, 61, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. Born on July 10, 1964, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Craig was the beloved son of the late Ruth Teal Jacobi and John Edward Jacobi II. Throughout his life, he was known for his generosity, kindness, easygoing spirit, and deep devotion to family and friends.
Craig embraced life with enthusiasm and purpose. A proud alumnus of the University of Georgia, he remained a loyal supporter of UGA athletics throughout his life. During his college years, he distinguished himself as a member of the university’s swimming program, laying the foundation for a lifelong commitment to fitness and personal achievement. His determination and perseverance were evident in his completion of two Ironman triathlons, accomplishments that reflected both his physical endurance and strong character.
Professionally, Craig traveled extensively for work, but he always found time to enjoy life’s simple pleasures. The beach was his favorite retreat—a place where he could relax, recharge, and spend cherished moments away from the demands of daily life. He also enjoyed fine wine and treasured opportunities to gather around the table with family and friends, sharing laughter, stories, and meaningful conversation.
Above all, Craig took immense pride in being a father. He considered raising his three children among his greatest accomplishments and never missed an opportunity to express his love and admiration for them. His approachable nature, steady presence, and genuine care for others made him a source of comfort and encouragement to those around him. Whether offering support, celebrating milestones, or simply spending time together, Craig consistently demonstrated how much he valued the people in his life.
Craig will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to family, his generous heart, and the balance he maintained between ambition and appreciation for life's joys. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched with his kindness, loyalty, and love.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Teal Jacobi and John Edward Jacobi II.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, James and Chloe Jacobi of Roswell, Georgia; daughters and son-in-law, Madison Jacobi and Colin Abbey of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Olivia Paige Jacobi of Austin, Texas; grandson, Taylor Jacobi of Roswell, Georgia; brothers, John Jacobi of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Jim Jacobi and his wife Melissa of McKinney, Texas; the mother of his children, Lisa Jacobi of Acworth, Georgia; his loving partner of more than ten years, Melanie Wing of Powder Springs, Georgia; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him greatly.
A memorial service celebrating Craig’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Burnt Hickory Baptist Church in Powder Springs, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to The V Foundation or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in Craig’s honor.
Though he will be deeply missed, Craig’s warmth, generosity, and enduring love for his family will remain a lasting source of inspiration to all who knew him.
