⚾🥎 MARATHON YOUTH CLUB – BASEBALL & SOFTBALL 2026

📣 WE’RE LOOKING FOR A COMMITTED LEAD PERSON!

Marathon Youth Club is looking for a dedicated, organized, and passionate volunteer to take the lead on our 2026 Baseball & Softball season and help represent Marathon Youth Club at the Marathon Community Park Baseball Fields.

📅 SEASON: FEBRUARY–MAY

We are looking for someone who can be available throughout the season, present at games, and serve as a point person for players, coaches, and families—helping answer questions and making sure everyone has the information they need.

⚾🥎 RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Managing Evaluations and team rosters
• Organizing and coordinating coaches
• Organizing player evaluations
• Creating and organizing schedules for both games AND practices
• Securing and coordinating umpires
• Helping with scoreboards during games
• Ordering and distributing uniforms
• Having knowledge of Baseball & Softball rules
• Managing batting cages
• Concession stand ordering and management
• Recruiting, managing, and securing volunteers
• Being available at games and helping answer questions from players, coaches, and families
•Organizing Opening and Closing Ceremony
•Trophies and Awards
• Helping ensure the season runs smoothly from February through May

ALL evaluations for soccer have been POSTPONED until next Monday, August 31st.

⚠️ IMPORTANT 10U/12U SEASON UPDATE ⚠️

Unfortunately, we have not received the volunteer commitments needed to move forward with our 10U/12U season at this time.

Because of this, evaluations scheduled for 10U/12U have been POSTPONED until August 31.

We are giving it one more week to find the head coaches needed to make this season possible. If we do not have enough coaches committed by August 30, the 10U/12U season will be cancelled and registration fees will be refunded.

We know how disappointing that would be for our players and families, and we truly do not want to see that happen. But these teams simply cannot take the field without adults willing to step up and coach.

If you have ever considered coaching, now is the time. You do not have to be an expert, we just need dependable adults who are willing to give their time and help give these kids a season.

Please message us as soon as possible if you are willing to coach, and PLEASE SHARE this post to help us reach someone who may be able to help.

🚨 11U COACHES NEEDED! 🚨

We are still in need of 3 head coaches for our 11U division, and unfortunately, the season cannot begin until these positions are filled.

Please consider stepping up for our kids, or share this post with someone who may be interested.

To keep the season on schedule, we need volunteers to reach out by tomorrow.
