Maple Grove Parks and Recreation Maple Grove Parks and Recreation offers a wide range of programs and interests for all ages! We also have activities to meet the interests for all ages.

Maple Grove's acres of park lands include playgrounds, ball fields, basketball, volleyball, tennis and pickleball courts, football and soccer fields, skating rinks, picnic pavilions, fishing piers, trails and natural areas. Parks range in size from less than an acre to more than 100 acres and are located throughout the City. Programs such as swimming, karate, skating, dance, exercise, sewing, painting, scrapbooking, team sports and so many more.

Take a senior day trip on Wednesday, November 18 to Green Valley Greenhouse & Tavern at Green Haven!

Enjoy lunch at The Tavern, followed by a behind-the-scenes walking tour of Green Valley Greenhouse, where you’ll learn about its history, technology, watering systems and what’s in season.

You’ll also have time to shop for items for the holiday season. The trip runs from 10:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. and is $63, including lunch, the tour and motor coach transportation. Comfortable shoes are recommended.

Join us for the Sustainable Safari Wildlife Show, an exciting intergenerational program on Tuesday, October 6 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the Maple Grove Community Center!

Get up close with 5-6 live animals while learning about their natural history, behaviors, habitats and conservation.

Animals vary based on availability but may include a kangaroo, porcupine, snake, opossum, fox, skunk and more. The show begins at 1 p.m.

Maple Grove Police Department and Parks & Recreation are working together to help youth and families understand the rules for e-bikes, e-scooters, and e-motos.

For a first youth violation, the youth may receive a warning and a parent or guardian may be notified. Repeat violations may result in additional consequences, and law enforcement may impound a device when an immediate public safety risk exists or under other circumstances allowed by law.

Adults who violate applicable state law or city ordinance may be cited or otherwise subject to normal enforcement.

Our goal is to build awareness, encourage safe choices, and promote responsibility.

A product may say “ages 8+,” “kids electric bike,” “electric dirt bike,” ” or e-scooter, but that does not mean an 8-year-old can legally ride it in public.

In Minnesota:
🛴 E-scooter: 12+
🚲 E-bike: 15+
🏍️ E-moto/electric motorcycle: 16+ and a driver’s license
