It was a great weekend for some of our WAM teams to kick off the season! Despite the pouring rain and against a very competitive team, the U12G Comp team had a 2-1 victory vs Weathersfield. The weather cooperated just in time for the U9B Comp- Black and the U13-U15G Rec team to get their first league matches in. Way to go! Lots of smiles from these eager players, coaches and parents! As always, we are so grateful to the refs that are out there rain or shine.

WAM U12 Comp Girls took the pitch for the first time yesterday in a preseason friendly VS Coventry. They played a dominating game with outstanding teamwork to earn their first win of the season. Way to go girls!

Good luck to the WAM U14 Girls as they participate in the regional round of the Presidents Cup in Simsbury starting on June 18!

Some of the best youth soccer teams from all over the northeast will be coming to Connecticut to compete for the chance to advance to the National round in Wichita, Kansas in July. WAM earned its spot in the regionals by winning the Fall 2026 CT Cup and will be the first ever WAM team to represent Connecticut in this event.

Teams play three round robin games on June 18, 19 and 20 and the top two teams advance to the final on Sunday, June 21. WAM will be playing at 9:00 AM each day at The Westminster School or Curtiss Park in Simsbury. The schedule grid and more information on the event is available here: https://www.usyouthsoccer.org/northeast-presidents-cup/ Opponents and specific locations should be available in the coming days. The team would love to have lots of WAM fans there to make these feel like home games. But whether you can make it or not- thank you for your support!
