My friend, said it perfectly: There’s no bench in martial arts.
Your kid doesn’t have to already be athletic or good at sports. They just have to start.

What started as conversations about bullying has grown into 100 episodes focused on confidence, resilience, connection, and helping kids navigate the challenges they face.

That same purpose has always been at the heart of what we do at Kato Karate. Karate is the tool. Developing kids is the goal.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way!

100 episodes.

When I started the Breaking Bullying Podcast four years ago, I wanted to better understand bullying, what it does to people, and most importantly, what actually helps.

Since then, I’ve had nearly 100 conversations with people who have experienced bullying, parents, educators, advocates, actors, athletes, and others who have shared what they’ve learned.

Those conversations have also shaped how we approach bullying prevention at Kato Karate.

I’ve learned that confidence matters. Connection matters. Being heard matters. And sometimes the most important thing we can do for a child isn’t give them the answer. It’s listen, ask better questions, and make sure they know someone is in their corner.

Today, Breaking Bullying reaches Episode 100 with my friend Michael D. Cohen, best known as Schwoz from Nickelodeon’s Henry Danger and Danger Force.

Beyond his work as an actor, Michael is also a writer, director, educator, and longtime advocate who has spent years working with and teaching young people. He has also supported my bullying-prevention work and Karate Chop Bullying from the very beginning.

For Episode 100, Michael and I sit down to talk about some of the biggest things I’ve learned about bullying, confidence, connection, listening, and the impact one person can have on someone’s life.

The episode is called “What I’ve Learned About Bullying with Michael D. Cohen.”

🎙️ Episode 100 is available now.
