Barr Trail Mountain Race

Back in July, you climbed Barr Trail, turned around at Barr Camp, and came flying back down to Manitou. Now, some of you are heading back Barr Trail for the Pikes Peak Ascent, the Pikes Peak Marathon!

To all of our BTMR runners racing again this weekend, we’re glad to have you back in Manitou!

This photo shows just a small part of the crew behind race day, but it says a lot about what it takes to make BTMR happen.

By the time runners line up on Ruxton, so much has already happened behind the scenes: permits, planning, course details, aid station logistics, volunteers, packet pickup, parking, timing, food, signage, safety, setup, teardown, and all the little things that somehow become very big things on race day.

BTMR may be a small race, but it takes a dedicated team to bring it to life.

We’re grateful for the staff, race committee, volunteers, sponsors, partners, and community members who helped make this year’s 25th running happen! Thanks for being part of BTMR.

Barr Trail Mountain Race doesn't happen because of one person.

It happens because volunteers show up early and dedicate their time to help make race day go off without a hitch.

To every volunteer who helped with this year’s 25th running: thank you.

You were there in the heat, on Barr Trail, at bib pickup, at the finish, and at Soda Springs making sure runners were taken care of. You brought energy to the aid stations, calm to the busy parts, and kindness to a lot of tired legs.

This race is hard. You made it feel a little less hard.

This race is hard. Your support makes it better.

We can't wait to see everyone tomorrow in Manitou!

If you still need to pick up your bib, you have two options:

Today until 5:00 p.m., or tomorrow morning near the start line at 515 Ruxton Ave., between 5:45 and 7:00 a.m.

We highly recommend picking up your bib today if you can, so race morning is a little smoother.
