We welcome Coach Jaiden to our staff this year as Head Coach for 14u! Jaiden is currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in Management and Ethics at Manhattan Christian College. She is also part of the MCC Women’s Volleyball team where she has played several positions to help guide the team to three National Tournaments and winning the 2025 National Championship!

Jaiden has played volleyball for thirteen years and this will be her fourth year coaching. We are so excited for the experience and knowledge Jaiden will bring to 785 Beach! Welcome to the 785 family, Jaiden!!

Coach Avery is excited to return for her second season at 785 Beach! She is originally from Houston, Texas, and grew up playing volleyball for 11 years before coming to K-State to study Rehab Science. This will be Coach Avery’s fourth year coaching after several years of coaching and assisting in operations at BCRise in Houston.

Avery loves to bring positive energy, help players build confidence, and make sure everyone has a ton of fun. One of her favorite parts of coaching is getting to know each player and watching their confidence grow throughout the season. Welcome back, Coach Avery!!

Sky trained under PVA in Kansas City before playing in the NCAA, earning 3x Player of the Year and All-America honors. She went on to play beach volleyball and earn a master’s degree in England where she trained under former Olympians and current Olympic coaches. Sky then played professional indoor volleyball in Kosovo, Germany, and Switzerland while growing youth volleyball and real estate businesses in Manhattan, Kansas.

Coach Sky founded 785 Beach in 2023 to offer youth athletes more opportunities to play beach and indoor volleyball in the Manhattan area. The club has evolved over the years as we continue to focus on providing high level training and continuity for our athletes and coaches with pathways and support to play at the next level.

Even if your athlete is a returning player, they must attend tryouts. If we do not offer your athlete's age group, they are still encouraged to tryout and play up a year!

785 Beach is a hybrid club now! In the summer months, we focus on beach volleyball and hold several indoor open gyms. ⛱ In the winter, we focus on indoor volleyball and work in a couple beach volleyball tournaments. ❄

What this winter season will look like:
- The season runs November - mid March
- Twice weekly indoor practices on Sundays & Tuesdays/Wednesdays in Manhattan.
- 6 indoor tournaments within 3 hours of Manhattan. This will likely include the MLK National Qualifier for 14-18u teams, a 2-day tournament, and then 4 single day tournaments.
- 2 optional winter beach BVCA tournaments. BVCA beach clubs enter teams in multiples of 3, so we will need to know in advance who is interested in these tournaments and this will be an additional fee. One is set to be in Kansas City and one is in the Ozarks.

We became a hybrid club to offer continuity and stability for our athletes, families, and coaches. We understand the majority of athletes would like to stay focused on indoor volleyball throughout the winter, and we share that goal! We aim to maintain a competitive indoor club in the winter while offering our beach athletes more opportunities to compete in the sand in addition to this.

Did we mention our uniforms will be Slunks this year?

Can’t wait for more BVCA tournaments this winter with our indoor hybrid teams!!

We’re so proud of Eden, Haila, Karlie, Kambrie, Molly, & Alana as we competed as a club today in the Kingdom Beach BVCA!! 2nd place out of all clubs! 💗💙 Safe to say we LOVE this format and can’t wait to continue it with our indoor teams this winter!
