New England Roller Sports (NERS) is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Figure Skating Coach/Instructor to join our growing coaching team.

We are looking for someone knowledgeable in U.S. Figure Skating Basic Skills / Learn to Skate programming and beyond, with the ability and desire to develop skaters from their first basic skills classes into private lessons, advanced training, and competitive figure skating.

ICE COACHES — YOUR SKILLS TRANSFER!

Although NERS is a roller skating organization, we specialize in Inline Figure Skating using specialized inline frames designed to closely mimic the feel, edges, and movement of an ice blade.

An experienced ice figure skating coach can transition very naturally to our program. Likewise, the skills our athletes develop are designed to transfer between inline and ice figure skating.

CURRENT COACHING HOURS

Friday: 6:30–8:30 PM
Saturday: 9:00–11:00 AM
Private Lesson Opportunity: Saturday 11:00 AM–12:00 PM

Additional coaching and private-lesson hours have the opportunity to grow as the program and your clientele develop.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:

• Has a strong knowledge of figure skating fundamentals and U.S. Figure Skating Learn to Skate/Basic Skills
• Is comfortable teaching skaters of varying ages and abilities
• Wants to develop their own private-lesson clientele from our Learn to Skate program
• Is interested in developing advanced and competitive skaters
• Is dependable, professional, enthusiastic, and committed to athlete development
• Is interested in becoming a long-term member of our coaching team

This is an opportunity to get involved with a growing and unique figure skating program and build a coaching clientele from the ground up.
