We are very sorry, but due to a scheduling error, Virginia Scuba will be closed on Friday September 4, 2026. If you need anything for this weekend, please stop by on Thursday to get it. Sorry, again, for the big oops! We will be open normally on Saturday and Sunday.

New and old alike in the water this weekend, from VA to NC! We first want to welcome Ryan, Allison, Christians, Sage and Dylan to the Virginia Scuba family as our newest Open Water Divers! And it was quite the pleasant weekend at Lake Phoenix to do it. We also had Babs, Carl, Tim, Dan, Joe and Rick complete their Search and Recovery course. Much fun was had and good teamwork was built. Last, but not least, the NC crew finished their XR Wreck Course! Congrats to Michael, Jorge, Jeremy, Ken and Mr. Nutz! Thank you all for trusting us with you dive education, we really appreciate it! Now go forth and use your new skills.

We were scattered all over Virginia this weekend. There were two classes of Open Water students doing their confined water training at the pool along with a Rescue Diver course and some Extended Range Wreck drills. Meanwhile at Lake Phoenix Chaz and Lin became the latest additions to the Virginia Scuba dive family by completing their Open Water Course. On Sunday, the Rescue Divers went to the lake a completed their rescue scenarios to earn their Rescue Diver ratings. Lots of diving and even more fun!

Just a recap of an incredible week aboard the Allstar All Star Cat Ppalu. Some drift diving, healthy reefs, fun land excursions and sailing the Exumas makes for good times and great memories. Thank you to all who joined us and made it a fun week, especially our new friends who survived a week with our crew! Lastly, please thank Monica, Sandy and Ty who provided the awesome pictures we were able to share here. Until next time!!!

Four more dives in the logbooks today. Lots of healthy reef, sharks, rays and all the normal Bahamas critters. Even got out on the east side of the islands to get some depth for Katie to complete her Deep Diver certification, so let's all congratulate her for "working" on her vacation! Then we got to enjoy a nice drift dive for the night to finish it all up.

Today started with a drift dive at Wax Cut. Then we did some mangrove snorkeling before lunch. Of course, we finished the day with more diving. Living on a boat is fun!

Great first day of diving in the Bahamas. We started with a nice wreck off Paradise Island and then moved over to the Exumas for afternoon and night dives. Did we mention the incredible food being served on the All Star Cat Ppalu? It has been an incredible start to the week!

Busy, busy! Please welcome Nick to the Virginia Scuba dive family after completing his Open Water course. Also, congrats to Thomas and Grayson after doing their What's Next?! program all weekend. Alas, Rick used discretion in postponing his Dry Suit course, but we'll get it done soon! Doug is a little closer to becoming our latest dive professional as we finished up the classroom portion of his Divemaster course.
Lastly, we want to thank all our divers that showed up at the lake just to enjoy some underwater time on a nice weekend. Diving with friends (old and new) is what this is about. Thank you all for letting us show you how to Live the Dive Life!!!!!

Today was unfortunately our last day of diving. We dove The Lake and Knife. On the way to the lake we saw a pod of dolphins! We also saw a turtle on the dive!
In the afternoon a few of us went to the distillery, and the rest relaxed at the resort. We finished the night off with a delicious dinner at Joes!
