I think so many women arrive in midlife and realize they've spent decades chasing a number on the scale instead of building a body that could carry them through the next forty years.

We don't need more women who are exhausted from under-eating and over-exercising.

We need women with strong muscles, healthy bones, stable blood sugar, clear minds, and enough energy to chase their dreams.

Your body isn't an ornament to be admired. It's the vehicle that carries your purpose. Let's start treating it like the incredible gift it is 🙌

JULY EMAIL: WHAT ARE WE DOING HERE? 🌴

Hello friends & happy mid-July!

As you arrive to this email, what one word is summing you up in the present moment?

I am arriving tired. The early sunrise has my mind waking before my body is ready. 😆

If you know me or read my emails already, you probably know that I have a lot of ideas of about what I might want to say in my emails. When I sit down, something different transpires as my soul goes down a rabbit hole.

My first thought today as I began writing is… What are we doing here? 🤣

Such a loaded question with so many rabbit holes my heart & soul can go down. I won’t take you all the way there. We can reserve that trip for one-on-one conversations. 🩷

So here are some of my thoughts related to my loaded question…

✨ When you are at your highest & best, how do you show up in the world, for & with others?

✨ When you are at your lowest, how do you care for yourself & allow others to care for you?

✨ Do you believe you can evolve & grow? If so, how do you aspire to evolve & grow?

✨ If you aspire to evolve & grow, what’s your purpose, your why?

✨ How do you offer compassion, non-judgmental awareness & grace for yourself on this journey?

If any of these questions resonate with you or make you curious, I invite you to come back to them with pen, paper & your body wisdom. You might want to read each question, maybe out loud, then close your eyes & take a breath, maybe with one hand on your heart & one hand on your belly, then see what physical sensations, feelings & thoughts come up for you. If you play with this, allow yourself time to see what comes up & find space to welcome it all.

Your body is full of wisdom… what brings us joy, sorrow, excitement, anxiety, inspiration, fear, passion, anger… all of the feels. Our body knows what it needs… physically, mentally & emotionally. Our bodies work hard every day to keep us alive. Our bodies know when they are in supported spaces. It’s a practice to slow down, remember how to come back to our body & how to listen to our body wisdom in a space where we feel safe & supported. What practices support this process for you & allow you to connect to your body wisdom?

If the idea of body wisdom feels a little woo woo, take a look around in nature. Nature knows how to thrive & survive in their own cycles… animals, plants, bugs, trees, etc. How do they know how to thrive & survive? 🙏

Another way to think about body wisdom is when you get a gut feeling about someone or something, or when you walk into a room and get a feeling about the energy in the room. Our physical body is unable to lie about what it knows to be true. Our mind can disrupt the signal & hide the truth from us, but our physical body knows what it is experiencing & what it needs.

So my friends… what are you doing here? 😉
