US Supreme Court rebuffs challenge to New York law allowing lawsuits against gun industry 06/28/2026

After July 1, it maybe very difficult to buy any gun in Virginia. On June 15, 2026, SCOTUS declined to hear a gun industry challenge to a New York law that permits lawsuits against gun makers, wholesalers and dealers for endangering people's safety through sales of fi****ms and ammunition.

The justices declined to hear an appeal by an industry trade group, the National Shooting Sports Foundation, of a lower court ruling upholding the law, which New York calls a public nuisance statute.

This makes gun shops, Federal Fi****ms Licensees (FFLs), gun dealers, manufacturers, wholesalers, and distributors liable for criminal firearm use by a third party downstream. This is like making Ford liable for a Ford van driven into a crowd or Budweiser liable for drunk drivers killing people. Under this scenario, the criminal may be released, the gun store will be shut down, and the owner will lose his house and any other assets.

A similar law goes into effect in Virginia on July 1, 2026. A similar lawsuit was filed on behalf of Virginia by NSSF on May 20, 2026.

At this moment, as of July 1 we will not be able to sell or transfer any "banned" fi****ms. I know the fake news has been telling everyone it's all good to December 31, 2026 because of the Lancaster injunction. I guess no reporters bothered to ask the gun dealers and gun shops. The local police, sheriffs, and federal agencies can still prosecute. The dealers won't sell to you after July 1. Call them up and ask. They will be selling out of state and Virginia is out of luck.

When states like New York and Virginia hold Federal Fi****ms Licensees (FFLs), gun dealers, gun shops, etc. responsible for criminal use of a gun, the shops will close or dealers will sell out of state.

You really need to “FACT CHECK” everything the LEGACY MEDIA says. Mostly they lie, but this may be just be pure incompetence.

Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger campaigned on 𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲. Here’s how that’s going: fi****ms manufacturer Rideout Arsenal is leaving Fredericksburg for a new $22 million plant in Thomasville, Georgia, taking roughly 100 jobs with it.

The owners say the 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐠𝐮𝐧 𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐬 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 drove the decision. And the math is brutal: the median home in Fredericksburg runs $399,200; in Thomasville, $189,000.

A local gun-shop owner put it plainly: states like Georgia are “𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘤 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘧𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘻𝘦𝘯𝘴”, while the states losing these companies to taxation, woke ideology, and left-wing activism are driving the migration.

It’s the same story across blue states — jobs and families voting with 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐬.

I couldn’t help but share. Facebook keeps putting these “interesting” posts in our feed. 😏 Citizens are aware that antigun bills are not about protecting them. They are used to control them.

Earlier this week, Governor Abigail Spanberger signed a package of commonsense legislation aimed at preventing gun violence and keeping children, law enforcement officers, and communities safe. At a time when gun violence remains a persistent threat across the country and the leading cause of death for children and teenagers, Virginians need leaders willing to take action. The passage and signing of these measures demonstrate Virginia Democrats’ commitment to public safety and their continued efforts to build a safer Commonwealth for everyone.

NSSF Funded Lawsuit Seeks Emergency Preliminary Injunction to Block Virginia’s Gun, Magazine Ban Law 06/25/2026

As of June 24, 2026, the lawsuit (Black v. Hook, Fauquier County Circuit Court, case CL26000241-00) remains active and ongoing, but no preliminary injunction has blocked the law’s July 1, 2026 effective date.

Virginia’s law banning the sale of Modern Sporting Rifles (MSRs) and standard-capacity magazines sweeps up all manner of common semiautomatic rifles, pistols and shotguns. It includes any semiautomatic rifle that can accept a detachable magazine and one or more prohibited cosmetic characteristics that have no bearing on the function of the firearm. Many of those features add to the safe-handling and accuracy of the firearm.

The law also sweeps in semiautomatic pistols with two or more prohibited characteristics, many of which are designed for increased safety and accessibility for individuals with physical limitations. Likewise, the law includes certain semiautomatic shotguns, which are ubiquitous among hunters and youth hunters.

Violations of Virginia’s sweeping bans will be a Class I misdemeanor offense that carries a sentence of one year of imprisonment and a $2,500 fine. This is not an insignificant infraction.

Virginia’s law fails the Supreme Court’s Bruen test, as there is no historical tradition for bans on entire classes of fi****ms when the Second Amendment was adopted in 1791. In fact, the motion details that Virginia’s first settlers in Jamestown, nearly to a man, were armed with fi****ms.

It's about time! ATF should have to go through Congress to write laws.

This is why they want to take your guns also. So they can tax you into oblivion and you can’t do anything about it. The entire Virginia Assembly election is every 2 years. November 2, 2027 is next election for all 100 Delegates and all 40 State Senators. They think you are stupid and will not remember 50 proposed new taxes, 27 new gun laws, 194% raise for themselves, and the multitude of things they have done to run off businesses.

Virginia Democrats approved a 194% pay increase for members of the General Assembly. This will cost tax payers $2.1 million every budget cycle.

Making life more affordable for the politicians. All you other schmucks - get to work and pay your taxes.
