Let’s be real for a second. The goal was never perfect. It’s pretty good, most of the time.
So let’s talk about pizza. Or whatever your version is, wings, tacos, a burger, whatever you love.
If you’re trying to lose fat, should pizza be part of your everyday meal plan? Absolutely not.
But does that mean you should never eat another slice for the rest of your life? Also no.
That’s the trap that has people white-knuckling all week and then face-planting into an entire pie on Friday.
Here’s the deal: portion control. Have two slices and a salad. Enjoy it, actually taste it, and get on with your life.
What you don’t do is sit down and put away seven slices because you figure you already blew it.
That’s overkill. Same food, two completely different outcomes, and the only variable is the amount.
This is the whole game. Not perfect. Just reasonable amounts of real food, most of the time, with room for the stuff you enjoy.
That’s a plan you can run for years, not one you quit by Sunday.
The tip: next time you want the pizza, decide your number before you sit down, two slices and a salad, and stick to it. Save this for the next Friday night you need the reminder.
If “pretty good, not perfect” sounds simple but you can’t seem to stick with it, that’s exactly what I help people with. Reach out.
