For these reasons we have partnered with Kids’ Meals Houston, SIRE, Pet Set and United States Pony Club to help support their missions. National and international riders will compete in this championship, governed by WEIAUSA, and offering 6 levels of competition from Youth to Advanced. This three-day free and open-to-the-public equestrian weekend will take place October 23rd-25th 2015, and will be filled with fun and excitement. Haras Cup is the only competition of its kind in the Americas. Stunning horses from numerous different breeds and riders of all disciplines and ability levels will compete for an unprecedented $ 100,000 in prizes. Haras Cup will take place at Haras Hacienda, a state-of-the art facility in Magnolia, Texas, that is located 40 minutes away from Houston George Bush International Airport (IAH), and 40 minutes from Downtown Houston. Haras lush outdoor gardens surrounding their european contemporarily decorated Hacienda will make for an event like no other. With a charming boutique hotel and an exquisite catering services on-site, no one will have to leave the constant action of the competition arenas. The facility also features a full service Spa where visitors may treat themselves to a relaxing break between competitions. On a Friday fashion show highlighting the latest Equestrian trends. Introducing 24 exceptional models strutting the catwalk with spectacular designs by Jose Sanchez, Lucho, Linda Cunningham, Pat Danke and Zayver Designs. During the Entire Weekend a vast children’s educational and entertainment paddock is presented by SIRE (Therapeutic Horses) and United States Pony Club, US Army, Houston Natural Science Museum, A&M School of Veterinary Medicine and City-Wide Moonwalks Inc. ensuring a thrilling and educational experience for all ages. Kids can wiggle their enthusiasm out in the inflatables area, featuring jousting, sumo wrestling suits, a dunk tank and bungee run. Look for a rock wall and basketball court, compliments of ARMY Recruiters and The Lone Survivor Foundation, even a human foosball table. $20 entrance cost is donated in full to SIRE and Tejas Pony Club, underwriters of the children’s education and entertainment paddocks. Saturday Evening Equestrian Gala "Rhythm of Horses", will be comprised of 12 spectacular equestrian acts choreographed to the live music of Houston’s Virtuosi Orchestra. On Sunday Hat Derby Day where all the ladies will showcase a spectacular hat to win a pair of eyeglasses donated by our sponsor Shamballa worth $ 2,500. Mounted horse and youth costume class for the tiniest of our equine enthusiasts, all youth under 10 years old are invited to participate in a costume parade while demonstrating their riding ability.
