A slow, rainy Saturday morning. đ§ď¸đ¤
Thereâs something about the shift in seasons that reminds us weâre allowed to slow down, too.
To leave a little more space in the day.
To notice the rain outside the window.
To make something warm to drink.
To rest without needing to earn it.
To simply be where we are.
As summer begins to soften into fall, maybe this weekend can be an invitation to pause, to check in with yourself and notice what you need as you move into a new school and fall season.
Not every day needs to be productive.
Not every quiet moment needs to be filled.
Sometimes wellness looks like doing a little less.
Wishing you a slow and restorative Saturday from Greyley Wellness. đŠś

Walk With Me Wednesday đŚâď¸
Todayâs walk took us right outside the Greyley Wellness doors for a little end-of-summer sweetness with Sweet Grace Ice Cream Co.! đ
We love finding simple, intentional ways to care for the people around us and today that looked like ice cream, iced coffee and sunshine.
Getting to treat our staff, clients, neighbors, and community was such a fun reminder that wellness isnât only found in the big things. Sometimes itâs stepping away from your desk, getting outside, connecting with others, and enjoying an ice cream cone on a Wednesday afternoon. đŚ
A big thank you to Sweet Grace Ice Cream Co. for collaborating with us and bringing a little extra joy to Greyley today!
Hereâs to community, connection, collaboration, and making room for the small joys. đ

What is Shadow Work in Therapy?
We all have parts of ourselves weâve learned to hideâour fears, anger, shame, unmet needs, or even our strengths. These hidden aspects are sometimes referred to as our âshadow.â
Shadow work in therapy isnât about dwelling on the past or labeling yourself as âbroken.â Itâs about bringing curiosity and compassion to the parts of yourself that have been pushed aside.
Through a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship, you can begin to:
⨠Understand patterns that keep showing up.
⨠Explore emotions youâve learned to avoid.
⨠Build self-compassion instead of self-criticism.
⨠Make choices that align with your values.
Healing doesnât come from pretending the difficult parts of us donât exist. It comes from learning to understand and integrate them with kindness.
You donât have to navigate that process alone.
Rachel loves using shadow work in sessions, book your intake with her today. Link in profile.

You donât have to fill every moment with words in therapy. đ
Some sessions are full of conversation.
Others are full of quiet.
Healing doesnât always happen through talking. Sometimes it happens while your hands are busy and your mind has room to breathe.
Activities like coloring, drawing, or other mindfulness exercises can help quiet the pressure to âsay the right thing.â They create space for emotions and thoughts to surface naturally, without forcing them.
Silence in therapy isnât emptyâitâs often where reflection, insight, and healing begin.
Your therapist is there to sit with you through those moments, whether youâre sharing your story, finding the words, or simply taking a pause to reconnect with yourself.
There is no ârightâ way to do therapy. Sometimes, giving yourself permission to simply be is exactly what you need.
đ Healing doesnât always sound like talking. Sometimes it looks like coloring, breathing, creating, and allowing yourself the space to process.
Walk With Me Wednesday đżđśââď¸
One of our favorite things about calling Madisonâs Atwood neighborhood home? Itâs incredibly walkable and thereâs always something beautiful to notice along the way.
Stepping outside the Greyley Wellness office and into the neighborhood for a little movement, fresh air, and a mental reset is always a highlight of the day.
A walk doesnât have to be long or intense to be worthwhile. Stepping away from your desk, getting outside, and moving your body can be a simple way to break up the day, support your physical health, clear your mind, and reconnect with whatâs around you.
Even 10 minutes counts. đą
So if your day is feeling full, consider this your reminder: step outside, take a lap around the block, notice something beautiful, and give yourself a few minutes to move.
And if youâre visiting us at Greyley Wellness, leave a little extra time to explore Atwood while youâre here. đ
As we get ready to close out another week, hereâs your reminder: you donât have to rush your healing, your growth, or your life.
Peace isnât found by keeping up with everyone else, itâs found when you honor your own pace.
Some weeks youâll make big strides. Other weeks, simply making it through is enough. Both deserve grace.
As you head into the weekend, give yourself permission to slow down, breathe deeply, and trust that youâre exactly where you need to be. There is no prize for burnout. There is wisdom in rest.
⨠Protect your peace.
⨠Honor your pace.
⨠Celebrate your progress, even when itâs quiet.
What is one way youâll create peace for yourself this weekend?

Not everyone loves Mondays.
For many people, Sunday evenings bring racing thoughts, poor sleep, and the familiar feeling of the âSunday Scaries.â When work feels draining, unsupported, or misaligned, itâs no surprise that anxiety starts before the week even begins.
At Greyley Wellness, we believe work can feel different. And many of us love Mondays!
Weâve intentionally built a culture where collaboration is expected, wellness is prioritized, and people genuinely value one another. We celebrate wins together, support each other through challenges.
No workplace is perfect, and every week brings its own challenges, but we believe the environment you work in matters. When people feel respected, connected, and supported, Mondays become less about surviving the week and more about the opportunities ahead.
Hereâs to another non scary Sunday and creating workplaces that view it as a happy Monday eve!
