All proceeds from this event will be donated to East’s Culinary Program!
🥬🔪Join local Chef, farmer and founder of Trade Roots Farm, Yusuf Bin-Rella, for this hands-on cooking class that explores collard greens as an all-day ingredient rather than a single dish. Participants will work through three preparations that move from raw to cooked, focusing on versatility, flavor balance, and practical technique. The approach is rooted in Afro Indigenous foodways and adapted to Midwestern growing conditions, with straightforward methods that translate to home kitchens.
‼️All ticket sale proceeds will be donated to the East High School Culinary Program!
