Over the course of the past two days, the 10th Women’s Public Links and the 97th Men’s Public Links took place at the redesigned Yahara Hills Golf Course and the ever-classic Odana Hills.

Yesterday’s test at Yahara proved long and windy with Today’s round at Odana being an absolutely picture perfect day for golf.

In the end, Angelina Parrinello defended her title with a two day total of a +6 (159) in the Women’s Championship while the Men’s side saw first-time champion Caleb Dzierzynski as the only player under par for the entire tournament finishing at -1 (143).

A couple days late posting these, but this past Sunday, Madison Golf Events took over a new venue, Door Creek Golf Course, for the Two-Player Modified Alternate Shot. In both the gross and net alternate shot contests, the top position ended up tied. After a scorecard playoff, the team of Olsen and Veber came out on top in the gross contest, while the team of Hull and Hull pulled out a win in the net contest. The Two-Player Shamble returned to the newly redesigned Yahara Hills Golf Course for its second year today and the competition, like the weather, was HOT, HOT, HOT!

Taking home top honors was the team of Jason Grove and Peter Jessen, who both had fantastic rounds to set their team up with a sweet -19 score! On their heels was the team of Tim Corcoran and Brian Borland at -16 and the team of Mike Krueger and Dan Gille at -13.

Today was a blustery, but at least warm day (haven’t had many lately) for the Two Player Scramble. A field of 28 teams took to Odana Hills Golf Course to team up and conquer. Certainly the biggest two-player field we have ever had!

In the end, the team of Mike Krueger and Matt Pagel took top honors in the Gross Scramble, while the team of Corey Trzinski and Jesse Drukenbrod pulled out the win for the net competition. (Teams could only participate in net if both players had handicaps. Some teams may show as placing, but were not eligible. Teams also could only win either gross or net, not both.)
