Hunt East Adventures is located in Downeast Maine and offers guided Moose Hunts, Deer Hunts and guided Fishing Trips for Trout, Salmon and Smallmouth Bass. This area of the state is rich in outdoor sporting history and well known for its spectacularly rugged Atlantic coastline and often referred to as the Bold Coast. We are a small guide service focused on providing our clients a safe, ethical and memorable outdoor adventure. We take a great deal of pride in our ability to offer a personal hunting and fishing experience. Many of our customers arrive as clients and leave as friends, and we want it to stay that way.

🐇 MAINE SNOWSHOE HARE HUNTS — A FEW OCTOBER DATES OPEN! 🐇

There’s something special about spending a crisp October day in the Maine woods — colorful hardwoods, cool fall air, and the sound of a pack of beagles working a snowshoe hare through the thick stuff.

Our beagles will do the hard work while you enjoy a day in the woods, following the dogs and chasing some Maine snowshoe hare. Whether you’re an experienced hare hunter or just looking to experience a traditional Maine rabbit hunt, we’d love to have you along!

Hot tailgate lunch also provided each day!

I have had October 12-13 come open for a Snowshoe Hare hunt. My hounds or yours. Great time of year to be in the woods! I also have some day hunts throughout the winter open. Reach out if you’re interested!

I have decided to open my books for a few days in October for Snowshoe Hare hunting.
If you have never been it’s a ton of fun! I have some one or two day fully guided hunts left open in October and have decided to offer some 2-4 day Semi Guided hunts.

*Have October 12-13 Left and some single day hunts throughout the season!*

We start our day hunting in the morning, I provide a hot tailgate lunch at noon, and then we hit the woods again in the afternoon.

Rates for fully guided hunts is $350 a day for a Single Hunter or $175 per Hunter for multiple. Lodging is $125 a night. 35% Deposit to book.

I have also decided to offer a few semi guided hunt for remaining dates. Not somthing I usually do but have decided to offer it for remaining dates. Have some 2-3 day hunts available for that. Possibly longer stretches if the dates line up correctly. Semi guided hunts require you to bring your own hounds, I will provide good locations to hunt and Lakeside Off Grid Lodging. (Generator power). There is also 3 above ground kennels at camp for your use. Camp can accommodate 4 hunters and rates for Semi Guided will be $350 day for up to 4 guys. 35% Deposit required to book.

Beautiful temps, plenty of fall foliage and lots of action makes for a great hunt.

On the last day last week guiding for Wilderness Escape I got the pleasure of having Randy of Bigdady Rods and friend John on board. All my rods we use on my guided trips are made by Randy. I have no intentions of ever switching. Weather was telling us it was gonna rain steady but we got lucky and barely had any. Fish were biting good again and we had another successful day on the water. This group of guys is always a pleasure and we look forward to having them back next year!

On Thursday last week guiding for Wilderness Escape, Ed and Tom came out. The wind had changed and laid down some and we got to fish where we wanted. The morning was the slowest of the week but it gave us a chance to play with some different baits and we ended the day with some good quality and numbers. When the fishing is slow I have always found success by just keeping at it, not being afraid to try out of the ordinary baits, and keep bouncing around till you run across groups of fish that want to bite. We did just that and ended with a good day.

Day 4 last week guiding for Wilderness Escape the weather finally turned around some and it was Matthew and Rene’s turn. The first couple stops were slow but we pushed on until we got into them. Landed a bunch of good fish and plenty of smaller ones. These fellas kept me laughing all day. Thunderstorm pushed us off the lake around 3pm and we made it to the dock just as the heavy rain came in.

Day 3 of the group brought Kyle and Suzanne on board. It was a nasty weather day with steady wind and rain for the majority of the trip. Despite the weather the fish were hungry and we landed a ton of quality Smallmouth. Despite spending the day huddled up in our rain gear we had an excellent day of fishing!

Monday morning was John and Andrew turn. The fishing was excellent and it seemed like every fish we caught was a good one! Jigs, Topwater and Spinnerbaits made for a fun day.

Trying to get caught up on photos. Spent the last week guiding for Wilderness Escape Outfitters. A week spent in rain gear almost everyday but the fish numbers and quality of fish was excellent. Sunday I had Gary and Tom on board. Landed a bunch of fish despite the pouring rain showers.
