USTA Martial Arts-Lynden Martial Arts fun for the whole family! USTA Martial Arts was founded in 1994 in Bellingham, WA by Grandmaster Uoon Choi.

Since then, Grandmaster Choi has trained instructors and masters who now operate 10 studios ranging from Lynden down to Bellevue. USTA staff share a common goal of improving every community they teach in by helping each and every student gain confidence and improved health, leading to life success. People often think that martial arts is about fighting but that's not what we emphasize at USTA Martial Arts. Instead, we focus on the personal development aspects of martial arts because that's why most people participate. Almost half of the 6 million participants in martial arts are children ages 4-17, according to statistics from the Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association. And it's not unusual for the whole family to get involved; one-third of the students are female, many of them "moms". At USTA Martial Arts, we are interested not only in self defense skills, but also in the complete personal development of each student. Individual attention is a feature of each and every class, allowing our students to progress quickly and easily toward their personal goals. Our instructors take their responsibilities as role models for younger students seriously, teaching them the importance of strong character, discipline, leadership and good values.

I am excited to celebrate a huge milestone with everyone tomorrow. Here's all you need to know for our party.

Saturday, September 19th
11:00am-1:00pm (Please do not feel obligated to stay the full duration).

Attire:
No Uniform Needed. Please be prepared for barefoot or socks only on the mats. Shoe racks are available at the entrance.

Checklist:
* Potluck Dish/Dessert/Side/Drink/Cups/Plates/Napkins/Silverware
* Party Game (Card Games/Board Games/Jenga/Connect 4/Twister/etc.)
* Folding Chair/Camping Chair Per Person
* Bring Whole Family and Friends

LEADERSHIP STUDENTS:
Please be there by 10:30pm for our performance practice and be ready to help organize the event. Be ready for a fun time Ma'am / Sir!

Itinerary:
11:00am: LEADERSHIP DEMO
11:10am: Potluck & Family/Friend Party Games/Bounce House
12:30pm: Family Taekwondo Fun!
1:00pm: Volunteer Cleanup

Hello Lynden,

Last month we said our farewells to one of our high school graduate Second Dan students: Olivia Clemmer.

She has displayed a tremendous amount of not only dedication in her Taekwondo training, but also an exceptional character. She is full of positive energy, kindness, respect, confidence, intelligence, and loves to form great friendships.

She has officially settled in college in Scotland. As she will be missed in our community, we look forward to seeing her success in this next chapter!

It has officially been **10 years since USTA Martial Arts became a part of the Lynden community!** 🎉

We would like to take a moment to thank all of the families in Lynden and the surrounding communities who have participated in, supported, and been a part of USTA Martial Arts over the past 10 years.

From the bottom of our hearts, **THANK YOU!** ❤️

To celebrate this incredible milestone, we would love for you to join us on Saturday, September 19th, from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM for a fun-filled 10th Year Anniversary Party & Potluck Lunch! 🎉

Hanmadang was a HUGE Success!

I wanted to congratulate everyone that has attended Hanmadang. What a great memorable year for both students and parents, as well as myself. Seeing a lot of you compete with smiles on your faces really made all the hard work, dedication, and perseverance worth every second!

I want to thank all of our volunteers that helped make this tournament possible. With you, the tournament, despite complications with a power failure putting the division area in pitch black as well as having no sound or mic system, we remained on schedule throught the entirety of the event.

There were many volunteers that didn't make it into this photo. But from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your dedication and Indomitable Spirit Ma'am / Sir!

I saw this on my newsfeed today and had to clip it! Blocked out names and business names for privacy.

Somebody posted on our Lynden community page an ad for their taekwondo location in Ilinois.

It must have been a mistake or spam, but one of our students commented and it is the PERFECT comedic response! Thank you for the shout out sir!
