We’ve made a few small adjustments to our class schedule as we get ready to kick off the 2026–2027 dance season! Please take note of the following updated class times:

If your dancer is currently enrolled in one of these classes and the new time creates a scheduling conflict, please reach out to us as soon as possible.

There’s still a place for your dancer at Spotlight Dance Center!

Our Performance Classes are perfect for dancers who want to learn, grow, perform, and be part of the fun without the commitment of a competition team.

Performance dancers will have opportunities to:
• Learn and grow their dance skills
• Perform at community events
• Perform in our studio recitals
• Build confidence and make friendships
• Have FUN while doing what they love!

NEW THIS YEAR — MORE OPTIONS FOR FAMILIES!

We are offering both FULL-YEAR and HALF-YEAR Performance Classes, making it easier to find a commitment that works for your family.

We also offer multiple class days and times for different age groups, so you can find something that fits into your busy schedule.

REMINDER: Competition Placements are coming up!

If your dancer is at all interested in competition this year, make sure to sign them up for Competition Placements!

Monday, August 31 | 7:00–8:30 PM

Placements are NOT tryouts! They simply help us determine which team will be the best fit for each dancer based on their current skills and ability level.

All dancers are guaranteed a spot on a competition team as long as there are enough dancers to create a team at their ability level.

Not sure if competition is right for your dancer? Come to placements anyway! Attending placements does not commit your dancer to a competition team. Once placements are complete and teams are announced, families can decide whether they would like to move forward with competition.

If your dancer is even a little interested in competition, we highly encourage them to attend so they have the option!

Dancers MUST be signed up for Competition Placements through the Dance Portal before attending.

Can’t make Monday? We will offer a make-up placement on Wednesday, September 2 from 9:00–10:30 AM.

We can’t wait to see everyone and start putting together our 2026–2027 competition teams!

WHAT A SUMMER AT SPOTLIGHT!

We had such an amazing summer of dance at Spotlight Dance Center! From learning new skills and improving technique to trying new styles, performing, and simply having FUN! We loved getting to spend our summer dancing with so many of you!

A huge THANK YOU to Miss Whitney, Miss Anna, and Miss Danielle for all of the time, energy, creativity, and love you poured into our dancers this summer. We are so thankful for each of you and everything you do for SDC!

And the dancing doesn’t have to stop here…

Something for EVERY dancer at Spotlight Dance Center!

We’re excited to offer even more flexibility this season with both semester-long AND full-year class options!

Not sure if your dancer is ready to commit to an entire year? Our semester classes are a great way to give dance a try, build confidence, learn new skills, and experience performing without the full-year commitment.

Looking for more? We also offer full-year Performance and Competition classes for dancers who are ready to spend the season learning, growing, and performing with their team!
From dancers stepping into the studio for the very first time to experienced dancers looking to challenge themselves, there is a place for everyone at SDC.

Our classes focus on more than learning a routine. Dancers build strong dance fundamentals, learn terminology and technique, explore different styles of dance, gain confidence, make friendships, and experience the excitement of performing!
With options for different ages, experience levels, goals, and commitment levels, you can find the class that works best for YOUR dancer and YOUR family.

Exciting News!

Performance & Competition class enrollment for the fall/spring season opens TOMORROW (8-20)! There are so many new classes and options to explore this year!

NEW THIS YEAR AT SPOTLIGHT — COMPETITION TEAM PLACEMENTS!

We’re doing something new for our competition teams this season! All dancers interested in participating on a Spotlight Competition Team will attend Competition Placements so we can make sure each dancer is placed on the team that best fits their current skill and ability level.

Competition Placements
August 31 | 7:00–8:30 PM

During placements, dancers will go through dance terminology, technique, and skills so our instructors can assess each dancer and determine the best team placement for them.

All dancers ages 5+ are welcome! There are no cuts—our goal is to find the right place for every dancer. Teams will be formed based on ability levels, as long as there are enough dancers at each level to create a team.

IMPORTANT: Dancers must be signed up for Competition Placements in the Dance Portal before arriving.

Enrollment opens TOMORROW!

Can’t make August 31? A make-up placement will be held September 2 from 10:00–11:30 AM, following Open Studio. Dancers attending the make-up placement must also register in the Dance Portal beforehand.

Last week we wrapped up our Preschool Dance Camp, and it was truly magical!

Throughout the week, our dancers played games, stretched, learned basic dance terminology, explored movement, and worked together to create a special routine to perform for their families at the end of the week.

Watching these young dancers grow in confidence, make new friends, and share their love of dance is what Spotlight Dance Center is all about. We had so much fun with this amazing group and can't wait to see them back in the studio soon!
