🍂 FALL BREAK FUN WEEK is coming to Carolina Family Karate! 🥋

We’re changing things up October 5–10 with a full week of special classes, challenges, family fun, and extra training opportunities!

🏆 Monday: Dojo Olympics
🥷 Tuesday: Ninja Night
⚡ Wednesday: Creative Karate Challenge
❤️ Thursday: Family Training Night
🥋 Friday: Karate Game Night

Weekday schedule: 4:45 Private Lessons • 5:30 Children’s All-Belt • 6:15 Teen/Adult All-Belt

We’re also offering $25 private lessons from 4:45–5:30 PM Monday–Friday — and only TWO spots remain!

Then Saturday we’ll finish the week with our Bo Staff Clinic from 10:00–11:30 AM. Students will work on Shi Shi No Kon Sho and Tokamena, and participation counts toward extra credit for upcoming belt testing. The clinic is $25 and open to all ages and belt levels.

Space is limited for both private lessons and the Bo Staff Clinic, so advance registration is required.

As we head into the fall season, we’ll be making a few temporary adjustments to our class schedule through mid-October.

Like many of our CFK families, we’re balancing busy fall schedules, sports, work, and family commitments. We’ll be spending some evenings helping coach our daughter’s softball team, so we’ve adjusted a couple of class times to make everything work while keeping plenty of training opportunities available for our students.

Please take a look at the schedule changes below and make note of the updated class times. We'll be adding a few Friday classes and Fight Nights as well so stay tuned for those announcements.

Today, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the heroes who ran toward danger, and the families whose lives were forever changed.

But we also remember September 12—the day Americans seemed a little kinder, held their loved ones a little closer, and stood together despite their differences.

As we talk with our students about love this month, we want them to understand that real strength is found in the way we care for one another. May we never need another tragedy to remind us that we are stronger when we choose kindness, compassion, and unity.

This month, we’re encouraging our students to show love through kindness, patience, respect, encouragement, and helping others—both inside and outside the dojo.

Cheer for someone who is struggling.

We join our community in praying for the DeLong family as they face a world without their father, husband, son, and beloved person. We pray that the Lord will surround them with comfort, carry them through the difficult days ahead, and give them strength when their own feels gone.

We also continue to pray for Officer DeLong’s fellow officers—both here in our community and within the Columbia Police Department. May God give them the strength and courage to carry on as they continue to serve and protect.

We honor Officer DeLong, and we are forever grateful for his service and his ultimate sacrifice.
