Closed today to unplug and spend some time with fam. I am so lucky to be able to run a q***r gym in such a small, rural town. This marks my 4th year being completely self employed, which is wild to me. It’s nerve wracking at times, feast or famine as they say…but I am beyond grateful to work with such strong, resilient folks in such a vulnerable way. We protect us. We make us stronger. ⚔️❤️‍🔥💪

Vanessa is a warrior. I hope to be half as strong and determined as her one day. She is the Founder and President of nonprofit organization Central Virginia Farm Workers Initiative. A Nelson County native, she has worked closely with Farm Worker Communities (FWCs), growers, government agencies, and others to advocate for a better quality of life for farm workers in Central Virginia. She pushes herself to a degree where I have to tell her to stand down and rest. When Vanessa started training, she hated plyometrics. Reactive training was a daunting challenge and often triggered knee pain…Now, she is a PLYO-LOVING BUNNY AND I CAN’T GET HER OFF THE BOX JUMPS! Working with this woman is a joy and I can’t wait to continue seeing her progressions in both strength and stabilization. 🐰⚔️🫀
