Congratulations to our GreenWorks 2nd Cohort on completing the very first GreenWorks Program!

This group worked through the heat, the rain, and every challenge that comes with working outside. You showed up, stayed committed, worked together, and got the job done.

Along the way, you learned more than just how to cut grass. You learned teamwork, responsibility, communication, and confidence by going door to door, talking to people you didn’t know, and earning your money through hard work.

We’re proud of every one of you for staying busy, staying productive, and trusting the process. Hopefully, this experience showed you that hard work pays off and that there’s value in learning a skill and putting it to work.

This is only the beginning. Be on the lookout for more youth programs and opportunities from Cole’s Foundation Inc. and Hope By Hope as we continue creating opportunities for young people in our community.

Cohort 2 was in action today as we continue expanding the GreenWorks Summer Youth Program from 12 to 24 youth.

This program is about more than cutting grass. We’re helping build hustle, grit, passion, work ethic, and life skills that can always put money in their pockets — whether they choose to make it a full-time business or a side hustle.
This is only half of the cohort shown — the Tuesday crew.

Community, we need your help.

Cole’s Foundation Inc. and GreenWorks are partnering with the Iroquois Neighborhood Association for a Lawn Care Equipment Drive to help our young adults keep working, learning, and growing through hands-on landscaping and maintenance.

We are accepting new or gently used lawn care equipment, including:

Gas lawn mowers, w**d eaters, leaf blowers, rakes, hedge trimmers, hand tools, small equipment support, and any other lawn care or landscaping tools.

Drop-off dates:
Monday, June 29th & Tuesday, June 30th
5–7 PM

Louisville, KY 40214
West side of the building in the outdoor classroom.

Monetary donations will also be accepted to help purchase equipment.

All donations are tax deductible, and receipts will be available.

GreenWorks is about keeping teens and young adults busy, productive, and learning the hustle while building confidence, work ethic, and real-life skills.
