ANNOUCNEMENT: As a reminder, all facilities will close TODAY at 5:30PM for the annual Certificate Member dinner. Regularly scheduled hours will resume on Friday, August 21, 2026.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Power has been restored and filtration can now resume. The Lake water will be open tomorrow, August 19, as scheduled.

AUGUST 18: The power outage is still ongoing and continues to be assessed by LG&E. The Lake must remain closed until power is restored and the water is safe to enter. Further updates regarding this situation will be posted on this page and the homepage of our website.

AUGUST 17: Due to an ongoing power outage, the Lake water is currently closed. The Instructional Pool, exercise room, saunas, and concession stand will be open. An announcement will be made in this space and on the homepage of our website when updates become available.

Lakeside's Board of Directors would like to thank those who participated in the Strategic Planning Survey. In addition, Town Hall feedback sessions will be held in the Activities Room of the Eckard building on select dates in August where members are invited to attend and further extend discussion on matters addressed in the survey. Thank you to everyone who helped make the 49th Annual Lakeside Masters Long Course Invitational a tremendous success—from our dedicated volunteers, officials, timers, and staff to the athletes who traveled from near and far to compete in our historic pool.

We were especially honored to welcome Mary Plant, formerly known as Mary T. Meagher, back to race for Lakeside for the first time since the 1980s. Although she narrowly missed improving her World Aquatics Masters World Records, Mary delivered outstanding performances, winning both the 100- and 200-meter butterfly while setting new Kentucky Masters state records and Lakeside meet records.

Seeing an Olympic legend return home to the pool where her remarkable career gained worldwide attention was a memorable moment for our club, and we're grateful to everyone who helped celebrate another chapter in Lakeside's 102-year history.

Mary T, you're welcome back to Lakeside any time!

The Lakeside Masters team will host their 49th Invitational swim meet August 1-2. Good luck to all participants! Please note that lap lane availability, deck space, and facility usage will be impacted by this event.

Join us TONIGHT for Lakeside's annual Family Bingo night from 7:00-8:30PM! Games will be played in the activities room of the Eckard building. The cost is five bingo cards for $1.00, or $.25 per individual card. Prizes will be awarded to the winners, and free popcorn will be served throughout the event. We hope to see you at Bingo!
