Time is flying by, and we are already more than halfway through the semester!

Since everyone has been doing such a great job, we are celebrating with a Bring a Friend Day this Saturday.

Students are welcome and encouraged to bring friends or siblings for free. We will also be adding some extra games to class, which are always even more fun with friends.

This is a one-day celebration/event. Our Bring a Friend Week after belt testing will still be a full week.

As a reminder, if a friend signs up, you can receive 15% off tuition, or 20% off for a sibling sign-up.

Summer Camp & Limited-Time Discount!

We have one last summer camp at Advantage Martial Arts, and there's still room available. It will be a full 5-day camp from July 13–17.

Camp will include fun Taekwondo classes, self-defense classes, dodgeball, Nerf battles, movies, and more. This camp should also include a guest appearance by one of my instructors, who teaches other martial arts styles, along with Pizza Friday at the end of the week.

Snacks will be provided each day, but campers should bring a sack lunch. If your child has any food allergies, please let Mr. Graham know ahead of time.

Camp hours are 8:00 AM–3:00 PM, with a half-day option from 8:00 AM–12:30 PM. Drop-off begins at 8:00 AM, and organized classes and scheduled activities will typically start around 9:00 AM. Late pickup may be available for an additional cost and can be requested by reaching out ahead of time.

Pricing:
Full day: $75 per day
Half day: $45 per day
Discounted multi-day pricing:
5 full days: $300
5 half days: $200

Just like the last camp, we are offering a limited-time discount of $5 off per day if you register this week.

Hey Advantage Families,

We have another Leadership Class coming up at the end of the month for our Elite Kid advanced belts!
📅 Saturday, May 30th

This class is a great opportunity for students looking to continue building their leadership skills and for anyone interested in becoming an instructor in the future. Since this class is specifically for Elite Kid advanced belts, we will be able to go more in depth and move at a quicker pace than usual.
We will be covering topics such as:
• Creating lesson plans for different age groups
• Leading drills and classes effectively
• Giving praise and constructive feedback
• Staying proactive and professional on the mat

Leadership training classes are an important part of developing strong and confident leaders. For students interested in becoming instructors one day, attending at least 3 leadership classes is required. Even for students not planning to instruct, I highly recommend these classes since leadership is also part of belt testing requirements at the higher ranks.

Looking to get active and learn real self-defense?
Our adult martial arts classes (ages 15+) are taught by the best and built for all experience levels.

Train in:
• Taekwondo – build strength, flexibility, conditioning, and sharp striking technique through structured training, drills, and detailed instruction
• Kadena de Mano – a practical, close-quarters self-defense system focused on real-world situations, including joint locks, disarms, and weapons training

Whether you’re just starting or getting back into training, classes can be adapted to your pace, including working around past injuries.

Kadena de Mano classes are led by Samson Cornette, with over 35 years of martial arts experience across multiple disciplines.

Last week we wrapped up a trimester with belt testings. Congratulations to everyone who earned their next rank, and thank you to all the parents who helped them prepare.

We are kicking off the new trimester with Fun Week, filled with extra games and activities (regular classes resume next week). This week is also Bring a Friend Week. It is completely free to bring a friend or sibling, and if they sign up, you can receive 15% off tuition or 20% for a sibling sign-up.
