Fall 2026 Registration for XC

We only have 5 spots left for Cross Country 2026! If you want to join in the fall fun, register today! Once we reach our registration numbers, we will close registration, so Seven Locks can continue to provide the best coaching services and maintain the integrity of our team.

Registration Info:
Registration will be open until roster limits are reached, which tends to happen quickly.
After Aug 19, 2026, a late registration fee of $50 will be applied.
If registration has to close, we will open a Waitlist.

Season Details:
Aug 31 - leading to Middle Schoool Nationals in Louisville, KY and possibly Cross Country Coaches National Youth Championships in Cedarville, OH
12-week program
Practices are outdoor at various outdoor locations in the Potomac/Bethesda/Rockville area including Hoover MS and Avenel Local Park, and on the Churchill Track under the lights on occasion
Ages 9-14 Practices Mon, Wed, & Fri 6 - 7:15pm (3x/wk)
Ages 5-8 Practices Mon & Wed 6 - 7pm (2x/wk)
Practice days and times may shift subject to track availability and severe weather conditions
Opportunities to compete include Central Maryland Youth Cross Country League meets which are typically on Sunday afternoons, possible Invitational Meets on Saturdays.

Coach Heilman highly recommends that 7Locks parents and 7Locks athletes (if old enough and have an iPhone/iPad) enter their race results each week. It's so exciting to see improvements with different racing events throughout the seasons.

Big Congratulations to Coach Laura!

Seven Locks Running Club is incredibly proud to announce that our Founder and Head Coach, Laura O’Donnell Heilman, has been named assistant coach for the cross country team and distance track events at Bullis.

Coach Laura has spent more than three decades inspiring athletes to dream big, work hard, and achieve their goals. Since founding Seven Locks Running Club in 2020, she has built one of the nation’s premier youth distance running programs, helping athletes earn 32 National Championships, 124 All-American honors, five national records, and countless state, regional, and national titles.

Coach Laura’s athletes have qualified for the Penn Relays High School Championship Mile, the prestigious Penn Relays Championship of America 4×800 Relay, competed as a finalist at Brooks PR, earned New Balance Nationals medals in the 800 meters and 2 Mile, and achieved numerous All-American performances.

While we’re excited to see Coach Laura take on this outstanding opportunity at Bullis, we’re even more excited because she will continue leading Seven Locks Running Club and helping our athletes chase their dreams.

Coach Laura’s passion, knowledge, and commitment have changed the lives of so many young runners, and we know she’ll have the same incredible impact on the Bullis community.

Katie Morey is now a triple threat with a 2:12 in the 800 at Seven Locks Last Chance meet last Wednesday! She’ll be competing in the Championship 800, one mile & 2 mile at NBN.
