We're also selling tickets for a September 4th show (that's a Friday) at the Roots 101 African-American Museum in Portland: the Joe McPhee/Ken Vandermark/Chris Corsano Trio. All three of these men are ripping virtuosos, and the thought of seeing them all at once is almost more than I can get my head around. Those of you who saw McPhee with Susan Alcorn at Cropped Out, whenever that was, are no doubt as excited as I am at this rare opportunity. I've always given our stickers away for free because I don't like taking money from children--but I no longer get 'em printed for free, so I am now asking one dollar for these breathtaking stickers printed by our compadre Lake at Gasoline Press. He makes our kick ass matchbooks, too, and my business cards are printed by Hound Dog Press, in case you had forgotten. I bought most of the Hort's furniture along with his house, so I won't be needing mine. This bedroom dresser set is heavy blond wood and unblemished--I'm pretty sure my grandma said it was oak. The first one pictured is 64" x 34" and the second one is 40" x 53"; each is 18" deep. I'd like to get $100 apiece for them but will happily sell you both for $175. Pick up in Germantown. I'll even help you load them up. Holler at your boy.
