Are you efficiently running your lens caps when flipped off? The rule of thumb here is the least amount of obscuration of your peripheral vision around the goggle.

It might seem inconsequential but there is no downside to taking the extra time to refining your gear.

We recommend not to keep a battery in your unit when stored away in bag for a variety of reasons. It could unintentionally be activated and drain the battery. It could also suffer from other issues depending on the quality of the battery.

But if you store the unit without a battery then it slows down how quickly you can get your system up and running in a pinch.

One way you can get the best of both worlds is to have the battery in your unit and slightly unscrew the battery cap until they cannot power on. This way you do not accidentally drain the battery and your system is still ready at a moments notice.

Are you getting the best out of your night vision mount? We tend to prefer an upward tilt in the system or at least a neutral angle relative to your eyes. A neutral to upward angle allows for more natural use compared to downward especially with a rifle.

It is also beneficial to be able to look under your goggle at a moments notice without having to manipulate them.
