Back with another Employee Spotlight! ⭐️ Kyle Caven is the Head Racquets Professional.

He has assisted as a contractor at HCC since 2017. Prior to HCC, Kyle was the Head Men’s(16yrs), and the Head Women’s (9yrs) tennis coach at Campbellsville University. He is a USPTR certified teaching professional, USTA Level 2 High Performance coach, and has been the USTA’s Junior Southern Cup coach from 2013-2016. He has 20+ years of teaching experience ranging from UCLA summer camps to Kukio Golf and Beach Club in Hawaii.

In his free time, he enjoys playing golf with his wife Courtney, and hanging out with their dog Zola.

We are grateful to have a very experienced and hard working employee who cares about our racquets program.

From Easter egg hunts to photos with the Easter Bunny, a petting zoo, and a delicious breakfast—it was a morning full of sweet memories. We loved celebrating with you and can’t wait to do it all again next year! 💛🌷🐇

Back with another employee spotlight! Join us in recognizing Matthew Shallock - Lead Assistant Course Superintendent! ⛳️⭐️

After earning a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Kentucky, Matthew Shallock spent a decade (1999–2009) working as a golf course builder. He joined Hurstbourne Country Club in September of 2009 and has served as our Lead Assistant Course Superintendent since June of 2012.

Matthew has also been an active leader in the industry, serving on the Board of Directors for the KGCSA since 2017, and currently holding the role of President of the Kentuckiana Chapter.

Outside of the Club, Matthew and his wife, Sarah, have been happily married since 2001.

We are grateful for Matthew’s leadership, expertise, and continued dedication to keeping our course in exceptional condition!
