More isn’t automatically better.

Better is better.

Most people don’t need a harder program.

They need one they can recover from and stay consistent with.

Progressive overload, resistance training, adequate protein, and recovery still drive most body composition outcomes.

The fundamentals work.

“Puffy” is one of the most common things we hear.
And sometimes?

It has very little to do with body fat.

Hard training, poor sleep, stress, hydration, sodium intake, digestion, and hormonal shifts can all influence how you look and feel day to day.

The answer isn’t always:

eat less, train more.

Sometimes it’s:

recover better.

One of the most common mistakes we see?
Trying to “eat as little as possible.”

The issue isn’t the calorie deficit itself.

It’s when the deficit becomes so aggressive that training quality, recovery, adherence, and muscle retention start to suffer.

Fat loss doesn’t require punishment.

It usually requires better structure.

For those who’ve spent years in sport—or simply training hard—body image can feel more complicated than “just lose weight.”

Muscle changes shape. Structure matters. Body composition matters.

The goal isn’t necessarily to become smaller.

Often, it’s to feel stronger, leaner, healthier, and more comfortable in your body.

Fat loss works best when muscle retention stays part of the conversation.

𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐌𝐎𝐕𝐄 ‼️

It doesn’t matter how fast, how heavy, or how perfect… what matters is that you 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭. 💯

One step. One rep. One choice today can change everything tomorrow. 💪🔥

For years, women were sold the idea that fitness should make them smaller.

Smaller waist.
Smaller appetite.
Smaller presence.

But muscle changes everything.

It improves metabolic health, insulin sensitivity, resilience, bone density, and longevity.

And ironically?

The “toned” physique so many women chase is often simply the result of having enough muscle mass.

Strength was never something women were supposed to fear.

It was something we were supposed to reclaim.

What’s one thing you were taught about women lifting weights that turned out to be completely wrong?

Most people panic when the scale goes up.

But what if it’s going up for the right reasons?

When Max started training with us, the goal wasn’t to get smaller.

It was to build a stronger body.

Over time:

+11 lbs bodyweight
+10 lbs lean mass
+6 lbs skeletal muscle

…and his body fat?

It barely changed.
13.7% → 13.3% on Evolt

Meaning he didn’t just “gain weight.”

He built muscle.

He got stronger.

He became more athletic.

And now he’s pulling 300 lbs for reps.

Because good coaching isn’t about making everyone smaller.

Sometimes the goal is eating more, training smarter, and finally building the body you actually want.

And honestly?

The best part of this video isn’t the deadlift.

It’s the smile at the end.

That’s what confidence looks like when the work starts paying off.
