On this day, 38 years ago, July 23, 1988: nearly 77,000 fans packed the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum for the only U.S. stop of Van Halen’s legendary Monsters of Rock Tour. Featuring unforgettable performances by Van Halen, Scorpions, Dokken, Metallica, and Kingdom Come, this nine-hour festival became one of the most ambitious rock concert lineups ever assembled. 🤘
