At 6:00 AM, the first cyclists rolled in through the cool morning haze. No fanfare—just quiet focus as they clipped in, stretched, and prepped their gear. One by one, more arrived, each ready to put in the miles. June 6th, 2026 — Saturday’s Endurance Century Ride — wasn’t a casual ride. It was 118 miles of endurance, grit, and purpose.

It was an honor spending Saturday afternoon and evening with KHS Bicycles. We started the day early in Long Beach for the 6:30 AM ride to Dana Point, but by the time we reached Laguna Beach we realized we wouldn’t make it back in time for the KHS gathering. A few of us made the call to turn around and ride back toward Compton so we could be there, then—if time allowed—race back out to continue with the century ride, which we did.
Seeing KHS close its doors is deeply emotional for many of us. Our history with the brand runs long. Jojo spent years with the KHS Factory Racing and KHS Pro MTB teams, contributing his technical skills, digital development, and support to help shape the program during some of its most defining years.
Spending time with the owners on Saturday was meaningful. Talking one‑on‑one with Wen and hearing him break down the physics, engineering, and design concepts behind his bikes—concepts that helped influence modern industry standards in both road and mountain platforms—was inspiring. His passion, paired with Susan’s warmth, made the evening unforgettable.
Though KHS is retiring, our connection with Wen and Susan isn’t ending. We’ll stay in touch, keep them updated on LA Critical Mass, and continue carrying forward the legacy of a brand that shaped so many of us.

118 miles.
Our first‑ever Endurance Century Ride.
Cool air, gloomy skies, and that perfect refreshing chill carried us through every climb. These photos were taken at the very end — just the cyclists randomly asked who felt like capturing the moment. Not everyone who rode is pictured, just the ones who smiled, stopped, and said yes after finishing a historic 118‑mile day. A strong finish for a strong community.
