Congratulations to our BMW Managers Academy Shop Foreman Elite Graduates!

Thank you for dedicating two full days to your leadership development. You showed up ready to learn, listen, and find new ways to lead your team.

You brought an open mind and a genuine willingness to share. The insights you shared, the honesty in your questions — that’s what made these two days so valuable.

We started with purpose, because exceptional results don’t happen without exceptional employees. Your team needs to know their purpose; it’s the reason they show up fully every day. When purpose and culture work together, everything shifts; they become force multipliers. Culture creates the conditions. Strengths create the performance. Find ways to align your players to what they do best.

Development and growth don’t happen by accident; they happen because a leader chooses to invest time. Remember to “coach your players up,” guide your techs forward, not just correct them, and to have those conversations, both easy and hard, with intention. MPWR them to be their best!

As you return to the Team Analysis and Development Worksheet, focus on what’s next! Each of your players is unique, and the action plan you design for them is tailored to them individually. Determine what they need and establish a roadmap for their success!

You’ve got this. Stay Engaged!

On behalf of Coach Steve, Coach Melody, and the BMW team, thank you for your investment in your leadership development.

Congratulations to our BMW Managers Academy graduates!

Thank you for investing two days in your leadership development in Irving, Texas. You came in open. You were willing to share what was going on with your teams. You asked each other honest questions and listened to the answers.

You didn’t hold back. You called out your own blind spots before anyone else could. You challenged each other with respect. That kind of honesty is uncommon, and it changed what these two days could be.

A few things from our time together.
Purpose has to come first. “People don’t buy what you do; they buy why you do it.” You didn’t just understand that — you defined it. You connected purpose to culture the way a Ritz-Carlton defines an exceptional experience: not by accident, not by policy, but by every single person in the building knowing exactly what they’re delivering and why it matters. That’s rare. Once your team knows their why, the tasks they do every day stop being just tasks. They become culture, and culture is something your people build, not something you hand them.

Strengths are where performance lives. Knowing your players well enough to put them in the right position, on the right task, at the right time is what turns a good team into one that stays and grows.

Recognition isn’t one-size-fits-all. What makes one player feel valued will do nothing for the next one. Knowing the difference is part of the job.

And coaching only works when you’re willing to look closely. Naming the strength nobody else has caught. Sitting with the gap instead of skimming past it. Having the hard conversation instead of avoiding it. You brought that same openness into the room, and it will stick with you.

Take what sharpened here back to your players. Coach them the way you coached each other.

You’ve got this!

On behalf of BMW, Coach Mike, Coach Sue, and me — thank you for trusting us with these two days.

Stay Engaged!

Congratulations to our BMW Managers Academy graduates!

This workshop was truly inspiring. The ideas, insights, and best practices you shared made it clear from the start that each of you walked in open and ready to learn new, more effective ways to lead your teams successfully.

What stood out most was the environment itself. You may not have realized it, but you created conditions in which everyone felt safe to share, be honest, and challenge the way things have always been done. That kind of openness doesn’t happen by accident. It happens when you genuinely care.

The conversation never stopped. The questions asked, the experiences shared, and the back-and-forth discussion among the group — the energy was undeniable. You could feel it in the room as you connected the dots between the power of why, purpose, and culture. We talked about how our daily behaviors collectively shape the culture our people experience, how to recognize and coach your players up, and how to deliver constructive feedback that actually helps your players become the best versions of themselves. If your players know the purpose of their position, their strengths within the team, and move beyond checking the box in their processes, the sky is the limit for creating and delivering exceptional experiences. That’s how purpose and culture show up in every client experience.

Purpose and culture aren’t separate conversations. They rally from the inside out, and they’re a force multiplier when leaders commit to empowering their people and genuinely care about their development.

Thank you for showing up fully, for being vulnerable with one another, and for investing in your own development so you can invest in your teams. Carry what you learned and the energy from our workshop back to your players!

Lead with intention. Coach relentlessly.

On behalf of BMW, Joey and I, thank you for your investment in honing your craft as a leader.

I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to attend the Automotive News Leading Women Conference, Driving the Future: Empowering Women to Lead Through Change.

The conference was engaging, inspiring, and empowering from start to finish. Listening to the perspectives and best practices shared by such remarkable leaders made the day especially meaningful. There were so many moments that were moving, insightful, and impactful.

My sincere appreciation to Chrissy Taylor and the events team for creating such a professional and inspiring space for women leaders to connect, share, motivate, and uplift one another.

Lead with intention.

Congratulations to our BMW Managers Academy Intentional Leadership Graduates!

First and foremost, thank you for an incredible two days together.

The energy in the room was undeniable from the moment we started, and it never let up. You showed up with open minds, ready to learn, grow, and challenge your thinking, and it showed in every conversation we had.

Leadership is a choice, one you make not once, but every day. It lives in the moments you show up, the way you invest in your people, and the standard you hold yourself to, even when no one is watching. Over these two days, each of you chose to be here. That says everything about the kind of leaders you are.

Our focus was on building high-performing work teams, and everything we covered connected back to that single purpose.

It starts with WHY. As Simon Sinek reminds us, "People don't buy what you do, but WHY you do it." When your team understands their purpose, something shifts. The way they show up, serve, and connect becomes your culture. And culture is built FOR the people, BY the people.

Strengths drive performance. Knowing your players, understanding what they do best, and aligning them with the right roles are how high-performing teams are built. Engagement, productivity, and retention follow. You see your team differently now. Trust that.

Recognition fuels momentum. It is not one-size-fits-all — what makes one person feel valued can look completely different to someone else. Make it personal. Make it intentional. Make it a daily practice.

Investing in your people, coaching them up, supporting their growth, and having the tough conversations when the moment calls for them — is what separates good leaders from great ones. Delivered with thought and care, that leadership changes people.

The discussions were rich, candid, and profound. Every leader in our room brought real experience and wisdom, and the entire group benefited. That is what happens when people show up the way you did.

You came in as experienced leaders. You leave with new tools, perspectives, and a renewed sense of purpose.

It was an honor to spend these two days with you.

Remember, be the change. Stay engaged and lead with intention!

On behalf of Coach Joey, myself, and our BMW leadership, thank you for investing in your leadership.

Congratulations to our BMW Managers Academy Intentional Leadership Graduates!

To our BMW Shop Foremen Elite who gathered in Atlanta for a two-day Intentional Leadership workshop, thank you. You showed up ready — ready to grow, ready to be challenged, and ready to hone your craft. In one room, 369 years of automotive experience came together, and every single one of you leaned in. That’s what made it exceptional.

This wasn’t just a class. It was an opportunity — and you owned it.

It started with your why. The purpose that drives you beyond your title and responsibilities, the one that lives in your commitment to helping your team be the best they can be. That’s your foundation, and everything else is built on it.

From that foundation, you recognized that managing and leading are distinct yet both essential. The time you invest in your people is invaluable. That shift alone changes everything, and it starts with how you communicate.

Clarity is a superpower. The way you show up, the words you choose, and the tone you set all determine how your team delivers. Clear leaders build confident teams, and confident teams rise.

They rise because you committed to coaching them up, developing them, pushing them, and recognizing them as they grow. Recognition isn’t just a gesture. It’s the fuel that keeps them moving forward.

When the hard conversations come (and they will), deliver them with clarity and care. That’s the difference between a conversation that divides and one that develops.

Because at the end of the day, the standard you set, the culture you create, and the example you live out loud ripple across everything — quality, productivity, and teamwork. You set the conditions. Strengths drive performance, and alignment and delivery will unlock your team’s potential.

Leadership is a choice. Lead with purpose. Be the change.

On behalf of Coach Mike, myself, and our BMW Leadership, thank you for investing in your leadership.

Congratulations to our BMW Managers Academy Graduates!

Thank you for an incredible week together and, more importantly, for choosing to spend it with us and to be fully present. That kind of commitment speaks volumes. It says everything about the leaders you are.

We started where all great leadership starts: WHY. When your team understands their purpose, everything shifts — how they show up, how they serve, how they connect. Culture isn’t built by accident. It’s built FOR the people, BY the people.

This week, you were reminded that truly knowing your people is your most powerful leadership tool. Recognition isn’t one-size-fits-all. Coaching isn’t one-size-fits-all. But showing up for your team, every single day? That’s non-negotiable.

You came in as experienced leaders. You leave as even stronger ones, with sharper tools, fresh perspective, and a renewed sense of purpose.

It was an absolute honor.

Keep your momentum and lead with intention.

On behalf of Coach Steve and the BMW team, thank you for investing in your leadership journey.

Congratulations to Our BMW Manager Academy Shop Foreman Elite Graduates!

To our Shop Foreman Elite—you showed up. You leaned in. You shared your stories, your challenges, and most importantly, your purpose as leaders. And in doing so, you created something truly special.

Watching each of you articulate your purpose as a leader was powerful.

When your players understand the WHY behind their position, it doesn’t just change what they do—it transforms HOW they show up every single day.

Now, combine that purpose with a strong culture, and you don’t just get results—you get a force multiplier that elevates everything.

You fuel purpose every day through your actions! Continue building those relationships and coaching your players up!

Stay focused. Stay engaged. Every single day is a chance to create the culture you envision and drive the outcomes that matter most.

Congratulations to Our BMW Managers Academy Graduates!

What an incredible week with our latest cohort of leaders!

Your energy, engagement, and willingness to share best practices made this week-long workshop truly memorable. Watching you dive deep into your leadership development and challenge yourselves to grow—that’s what it’s all about.

Building Excellence Together
We discussed the fundamentals of great leadership. Building high-performance teams begins with knowing your purpose—when you understand what drives you, it shows in the exceptional experiences you create for your team and customers.

Culture influences how work is performed, and when it is strong, it amplifies the results that matter most. Clear, effective communication and genuine engagement aren’t just optional—they’re essential for success.

As leaders, your role is to foster the environment and conditions where your people can succeed. Coach them. Train them. Have ongoing conversations about their strengths. When you invest in their development, everyone benefits.

We explored care and recognition, as well as the power of giving constructive feedback that helps your players improve in their roles. This isn’t just management—it’s leadership that leaves a lasting impact.

Moving Forward
You’ve put in the effort this week, and it shows. Thank you for your dedication to improving your craft and supporting one another. Now it’s time to share these insights with your teams and turn them into action.

We can’t wait to see the impact you’ll continue to make.

Now go lead with purpose!

Be the change you want to see!

On behalf of BMW, Coach Steve, and I thank you for investing in your leadership!
