We’re back from a very unusual vacation trip, and I thought I’d share a bit of this with you guys.

First, we flew to Albufeira, Portugal, where we settled in my family’s newly refinished country home which now we finally have ready for summer rentals. If you are planning to go to Southern Portugal, let me know and we can offer you the 10% Family and Friends discount ;^)
After a week in Portugal, we flew to Rome where we attended an exclusive event which included an audience with the Pope and a Gala dinner in the courtyard of the “Casina Pius IV”, a 500 year-old Renaissance jewel nestled in the Vatican Gardens right behind Saint Peter’s Basilica. Wei and I were privileged to be invited to attend and get this once-in-a-lifetime access to a part of the Vatican that is usually off limits to anyone but the highest members of the clergy.
Lest you think otherwise: Our lives are normally not that glamorous …
We returned to Albufeira for another 10 day’s of total relaxation.
