I sat down with Aaron Harris, the Senior Manager of Youth Football for the Miami Dolphins (Miami Dolphins), the driving force behind South Florida High School Media Day, to talk about the vision behind creating this experience for football programs across Miami-Dade, Broward & Palm Beach County. π΄π
From giving student-athletes a platform to showcase their personalities, to connecting programs with opportunities and resources, this event was about MORE than football.
It was about community. Opportunity. Exposure. & Investing in the next generation. π₯

The Miami Dolphins awarded the program a $10,000 equipment grant, and I got to hear directly from the athletes, learn more about the program, andβmost importantlyβlet their personalities shine beyond the helmet. π€π

At GMAC (Greater Miami Athletic Conference ) Media Day, I caught up with Edward Dorval, rising senior CB/FS for the North Miami Pioneers (North Miami Athletics), to talk about his journey into football, his senior season and what heβs looking forward to most on the field.
π¬ βI started watching football when I was young, said Dorval. Previously playing another sport he says, βWhile I was a track runner at first, my uncle was the one put me in football at the age of nine. Ever since then, I just fell in love with this game.β
Now, the Pioneers turn their attention to Week 2 and a crosstown rivalry matchup against North Miami Beach. ππ₯

The Explorers (Columbus Football) jumped on Miami Southridge (Spartan Football) early, took a 38-7 lead into halftime, and never looked back.
Early play of the game:
One of Cristobalβs five-star recruits, AβMir Sears (WR), got things going for Columbus, taking a pass and racing it in for a touchdown to make it 7-0.
Columbus Explores & 3-Star 2027 QB Kai Moore (KM) completed three passing touchdowns in the first half to help lead the Explorers ( Columbus Football ) to victory over the Miami Southridge Spartans in a 45-7 opening season Thursday Night Football showdown at Sam Burley Field.
The transfer from Norland & (NIU Football commit) appeared comfortable directing Columbusβ offense and connecting with the teamβs talented group of playmakers.
βWe come out, to play dominant. First quarter, second quarter, third quarter, and fourth quarter. We coming out punch you in the mouth and come play football,β - said Moore.
Running back Cecil Smith, a three-star 2027 running back and Northwestern commit, added two rushing touchdowns. Running behind a strong offensive line, Smith consistently found running lanes and helped Columbus maintain control throughout the game.
